"What are you going to miss about this [competition]?" Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet asked D.L.
"Just Cheryl," D.L. joked.
"[Len Goodman], you need to work on your hip action. And the hip replacement that [Bruno Tonioli] said I should have, I'm willing to you [Bruno]. But I've had a ball. I've played with house money. Thank you 'Team D.L. and Cheryl' for keeping us in this long. I've had a ball!"
D.L. and Cheryl finished tied for eighth -- and last -- place at the bottom of Monday night's leaderboard with actor and comedian Andy Dick and partner Sharna Burgess after both couples received only 18 out of 30 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno for their routines.
D.L. and Cheryl performed the tango, while Andy and Sharna danced a paso doble routine.
Boxer Victor Ortiz and partner Lindsay Arnold were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to D.L. and Cheryl's ouster, as both pairs were revealed by Brooke to be the bottom-two couples based on the combination of the judges' scores and America's vote.
Victor and Lindsay finished tied for sixth place on the leaderboard with soap star Ingo Rademacher and partner Kym Johnson. Both pairs earned 21 points from the judges after Victor and Lindsay danced the Viennese waltz and Ingo and Kym performed the cha cha.
Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman and partner Val Chmerkovskiy finished in first place on the judges' leaderboard after they performed an Argentine tango that received 29 points -- a score which featured the first 10s of the season.
Former American Idol finalist and country singer Kellie Pickler and partner Derek Hough finished in second place on the leaderboard with 27 points after they danced a foxtrot routine.
NFL football player Jacoby Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff finished in third place on Monday night's leaderboard. Jacoby and Karina performed the jive which earned 26 points from the judges.
Fourth place went to 2012 Olympic gold medal winning gymnast Alexandra "Aly" Raisman and partner Mark Ballas after they danced a samba routine that received 25 points.
