Dancing with the Stars eliminated Kristin Cavallari and professional partner Mark Ballas during Tuesday night's third live thirteenth-season results show on ABC.

The former The Hills star and Ballas became the third couple ousted from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during Monday night's performance show, which featured the Top 10 finalists telling the stories of the most memorable year of their lives through dance, and the home viewer votes that were cast afterwards.
"I'm a little surprised, to be honest," Cavallari said following her ouster. "But I've had such a great time and it's been an awesome experience. So, you know, it is what it is."
"I just want to say that I'm really proud of Kristin. She had great potential and I thought she killed it last night and I was honored to be her partner, and I'm really proud of you and I love you," Ballas added.
Cavallari and Ballas had finished in a fourth-place tie on Monday night's judging leaderboard after they performed a samba routine that received 24 out of 30 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. The routine had reflected the year 2005 when Cavallari graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an entertainment career.

The three other couples who had also received 24 points were Keeping Up with the Kardashians sibling Rob Kardashian and partner Cheryl Burke, American women's soccer star Hope Solo and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and actor David Arquette and partner Kym Johnson.
Kardashian and Burke danced a foxtrot which represented the year 2003 when Kardashian's father died of esophageal cancer, Solo and Chmerkovskiy performed a cha cha routine which symbolized this current year because of the World Cup and her journey as a female athlete, and Arquette and Johnson danced a rumba which represented how his daughter impacted his life for the better following his split from ex-wife Courtney Cox.
Solo and Chmerkovskiy were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Cavallari and Ballas' ouster, however Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke noted they were not necessarily the other couple in the bottom two based on the combination of the judges' scoring and home viewer votes from Monday night's performance show.
Former talk show host Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough had topped the judges' leaderboard in first place for the second time in a row after they received 27 points for their rumba routine, which represented last year, when Lake found love again with her current boyfriend after her house burned down in a fire and she went through a divorce.
Singer and actress Chynna Phillips and Iraqi war veteran and All My Children soap star J.R. Martinez had finished tied for second place on the leaderboard with their partners after they each received 26 points from the judges for their rumba routines.

Phillips and partner Tony Dovolani told the story of the year 1990 when her Wilson Phillips band's "Hold On" song was released and she was struggling with depression and anxiety, while Martinez and partner Karina Smirnoff expressed how Martinez had overcome depression and recovered after being injured in Iraq in 2003 from driving over a landmine.
Fashion expert and former Queer Eye star Carson Kressley had finished in eighth place on the judges' leaderboard with partner Anna Trebunskaya after they received 23 points for their tango, which represented the year 2003 when Queer Eye premiered and Kressley began to feel comfortable in his own skin.
Legal commentator Nancy Grace and partner Tristan MacManus had finished in ninth place on the leaderboard after they performed a waltz routine, which represented the year 2007 when Grace got married and had her twins prematurely due to complications, that earned them 21 points.
Transgender advocate Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer had finished at the bottom of the judges' leaderboard in tenth place with 18 points after they performed a rumba routine -- which represented the current year because Bono said he's never been happier -- that wasn't nearly as well received by the judges.
