Dancing with the Stars ousted Leah Remini and professional dance partner Tony Dovolani in a semifinals elimination during Monday night's live seventeenth-season broadcast on ABC.

The former The Talk co-host and Dovolani became the eighth couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during last night's performance show and the home viewer votes that were cast following last Monday night's episode.

"I take away so much [from this experience]. I have to thank Tony, he's put in so much work, and the crew. This has been an amazing experience and I want to thank everybody here, Tony especially, my family for supporting me, my fans, and everybody here [on the stage]. Everybody's been amazing," Remini said following her ouster.

"I've been on this show for 16 seasons now, and after 16 seasons, you think it might get stale and all that," added Dovolani. "I have to tell you. I've never looked so forward to practices every single day. This woman would go the extra mile for me, and I can't tell you, this was an incredible experience. And if every season's like this, I will be living a very long life."

Comedian Bill Engvall and partner Emma Slater were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Remini and Dovolani's ouster, however, Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet revealed Engvall and Slater were not necessarily one of the bottom-two couples even though they were in jeopardy of elimination.

Monday night's broadcast featured each of the remaining five couples dancing two individual routines to two versions of the same song -- its regular arrangement and then a stripped-down, more acoustic version.

Remini and Dovolani finished in fourth place on Monday night's leaderboard after receiving 65 out of 80 possible points from regular Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, as well as guest judge -- and former show pro -- Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Remini and Dovolani danced a paso doble which received 32 out of 40 possible points from the judges and then an Argentine tango which earned 33 out of 40 possible points.

Engvall and Slater landed in last place on the judges' leaderboard with only 60 total points. They danced a cha cha routine worth 28 points and then followed it up with an Argentine tango which received an additional 32 points.

Glee star Amber Riley and partner Derek Hough topped the leaderboard in first place with 79 total points. They first took the stage with a jazz routine that earned 39 points and then performed a Viennese waltz which received a perfect score of 40 points from the judges.

Disney Channel star Corbin Bleu and partner Karina Smirnoff finished in second place on last night's judges' leaderboard with 75 total points. After taking the stage with a 35-point worthy tango routine, the couple wowed the judges with a rumba routine which received 40 more points -- another perfect score of the night.

Third place on Monday night's leaderboard went to former The Osbournes and Armed & Famous star Jack Osbourne and partner Cheryl Burke with 71 total points. The pair initially earned 33 points from the judges for a jazz routine and then received an additional 38 points for their Argentine tango that followed.

The four remaining seventeenth-season Dancing with the Stars couples will return for a two-hour performance show in the finals on Monday, November 25, during which the pairs will dance freestyle routines known to be the fan-favorite performances of the season.
