Charlie White apparently isn't pleased with the way Dancing with the Stars "contrived" Monday night's elimination in which he was forced to face off against his Sochi Olympics ice dancing partner Meryl Davis.

White and his pro partner Sharna Burgess were in jeopardy right alongside Davis and her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews revealed Davis and Chmerkovskiy weren't necessarily a bottom-two couple.
"But I think that certainly our love triumphs over what makes for an interesting moment," White added. "I love that girl. We have been through 17 years and won an Olympic gold medal. And so, even though it looked like we were up there facing off against each other, it was never the case."
White even insisted he was not hoping Davis would get sent home instead of him last night.
"No, not at all! No, man," White noted.
"You don't want it to be anyone when you're standing up there [in jeopardy]," Burgess told E! News.
However, it's not exactly great timing for White and Burgess to get eliminated the week before Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth-season finale.
"I'm disappointed because we had a few more special tricks up our sleeves for the finale, and certainly getting close, it's tough," White admitted.
"Yeah, there was about to be so much more of that next week! We were saving it all!" Burgess said.
"I guess that's a lesson learned, right? Don't save anything until the end... I mean, I'm a competitor. Hell yeah I wanted to make it to the finals! But what a blessing to have an amazing journey with him, and my only regret is that we don't get to do our freestyle."
But it was clear both dancers had a wonderful time together this season.
"We were talking about how grateful we are for this opportunity, to have found each other, to have the friendship that we now have, and to have been able to create some of the dances we created. I think that coming into this event, this whole show, that's what we were most excited about -- the opportunity to create -- and we made some really cool things," White told E! News.

"It's been incredible working with him, not just because of his talent and his never-ending happiness and positivity, but because I've got to know him and be a part of [his experience]," Burgess explained, adding that she also became friends with White's family and girlfriend.
"He's taught me about happiness and positivity and how to see the world in a different way in situations -- and I guess in a simple way -- not sweat the small stuff, and I love that. It's an amazing lesson to learn."
