Hannah, 25, dished on the interaction she had with Tyler before the awards show kicked off in an interview with Us Weekly.
"I actually saw him and his mom and I said hello to them. So I think it's really sweet that he brought his mom," Hannah said.

Hannah, however, insisted she wasn't nervous about the idea of bumping into her ex while getting ready for the big night.
"I think I have so much going on right now. I mean, I came straight from practice for the show tomorrow," Hannah explained to Us, referencing her current stint on Dancing with the Stars' 28th season.
"So there's no place for nerves, and honestly, I'm just really focused on myself right now and I'm just really glad that I am able to be here and to celebrate the nomination of the award."
Hannah ended up winning the People's Choice Award in her category.
In addition to Tyler, Hannah also defeated The Bachelor star Colton Underwood, Buddy Vs. Duff star Buddy Valastro, America's Got Talent winner Kodi Lee, The Masked Singer contestant T-Pain, The Amazing Race contestant Tyler Oakley, RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, and The Voice coach Gwen Stefani.

But Tyler probably didn't mind losing to Hannah considering he had tweeted support for her the night before the awards show.

In reference to the University of Alabama football game on Saturday, Tyler wrote on Twitter, "Bama couldn't get it done today. Hopefully Hannah does tomorrow. The state needs it!"
It wasn't the first time Tyler offered Hannah some words of encouragement after finishing her The Bachelorette season in second place.
Hannah opened up about her "defeating" and "grueling" Dancing with the Stars experience on Instagram after reports swirled she was spotted crying backstage following her October 28 performance on DWTS and some tough love from the judges.

"Fall down 7 times, get up 8!" Tyler, a 26-year-old general contractor and aspiring model from Florida who's currently living in New York, commented on Hannah's emotional post.
"You got this HB. Be where your feet are and enjoy the ride. You're doing amazing."
Tyler also previously admitted he's been voting for Hannah to advance on Dancing with the Stars.
Hannah was definitely discouraged from her "Halloween Night" performance, but she delivered a stellar routine the following week and was praised for finally showing the audience her heart and many layers.
Many fans have been hoping Tyler and Hannah get back together in recent months.

Tyler told Us on October 17 he doesn't know what the future holds for the two of them, but there seems to be no romantic connection between this former couple right now.
Hannah told People late last month that she and Tyler had not been in touch, nor was she interested in dating anyone at the moment.
"He texted me, like, once on my birthday, but that was literally one text. We don't really talk. So, I wish him well, but it's not like really anything," Hannah revealed. "I've moved on. He's moved on."
Following The Bachelorette's Season 15 finale, Hannah and Tyler spent the night together on August 1 in Los Angeles only for him to seemingly move on days later to pursue a romance with supermodel Gigi Hadid.
Tyler and Gigi, however, called it quits on their summer fling in October after nearly two months of dating.
"Tyler still thinks of Gigi as a friend," a source recently told Us. "They were really close, and he still likes and respects her, even though the romantic portion of their relationship is over."
Hannah joined the Dancing with the Stars cast after experiencing major highs and lows in The Bachelor franchise.
After getting dumped by Colton on The Bachelor's 23rd season, Hannah got engaged to Nashville-based country singer Jed Wyatt on The Bachelorette, only to dump him five weeks later because Jed had lied to her about his dating history.

Jed initially told Hannah that his romance with ex Haley Stevens ended one week before taping commenced, but Haley told People in June that Jed left Nashville to film the show in March still dating her.

In addition, Haley alleged in her interview that Jed had told her he was only going on the show to promote his music and they'd resume their relationship once he returned home.
Hannah and Tyler were both single at the time they appeared on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, so Hannah asked Tyler -- who seemed genuinely in love with Hannah on the show -- out for a drink in late July, which led to the night they had spent together days later.
