Dancing with the Stars' injury curse has now spread beyond the show's original cast members and is now also beginning to hit the last-minute replacements for the eighth season's already withdrawn contestants.

The Girls Next Door star Holly Madison -- who replaced Jewel Kilcher when the singer was forced to withdraw after fracturing tibias in both of her legs prior to the season's first performance show -- has come down with a injury of her own and is suffering from a painful rib injury that is effecting her rehearsals, People reported Thursday evening.

According to Madison's representative, the former Playboy playmate first experienced discomfort while practicing for her samba performance with professional partner Dmitry Chaplin last week. While she was able to dance through the injury on the performance and results show, where she had to perform the dance again during the Dance Off to avoid elimination, the injury has since become too much for her to bare.

"[Thursday] she was practicing the tango and the pain was so bad that it made it basically impossible for her to move," her representative told People.

Although a doctor's visit determined that Madison doesn't have a broken rib, she is still dealing with significant pain.

"While she is not suffering a broken rib, she does continue to feel a great deal of discomfort and was prescribed pain medication," Madison's representative said.

Madison remains "committed to the show" and still hopes to dance on Monday's performance show despite the injury, according to her representative.

"She was in a lot of pain last week," he told People. "But you know, Holly's a gamer. She wants to do this so bad and she wants to do well. She really didn't tell a lot of people how badly she was injured because she doesn't want to give herself any excuses."
