Dancing with the Stars host Tyra Banks has addressed the big "error" at the end of Monday night's show in which one of the bottom-two couples was wrongly announced at first.

"Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards," Tyra, 46, tweeted Monday night after the show. "So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through."

At the end of Dancing with the Stars' two-hour broadcast on Monday night, Tyra declared CHEER head coach Monica Aldama and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy safe and subsequently announced former NFL football player Vernon Davis and partner Peta Murgatroyd had landed in the bottom-two couples along with actress Anne Heche and partner Keo Motsepe.
However, Tyra suddenly appeared flustered and said there was an "error in our control room."

"There's been an error. I'm looking right now, and we have three couples [onstage]. So we need to clarify this for one second. The bottom two couples are Anne and Keo and Monica and Val," Tyra said during the live broadcast.
"Please come back. Please have Monica come back... There's been an error in our control room, but we're making it happen."
Tyra subsequently explained, "This is the craziness of live TV. ..This is live TV. I was reading my cards, but my cards were wrong, so here we go!"
Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were then able to vote to save one of the bottom-two couples from elimination.
Carrie Ann voted to save Monica and Val and then Derek voted to save Monica and Val as well. Bruno revealed he would have voted the same way if he had to cast a tiebreaker vote, and so Anne and Keo were sent packing.

But the events of Monday night's episode were apparently even crazier than home viewers realized, as Tyra suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Tyra tweeted halfway during the Dancing with the Stars broadcast, "OMG! When I changed outfits, I wasn't zipped up and had to hold my outfit up while introducing the next act. Live TV, y'all!"
Dancing with the Stars has a drastic new look after Tyra replaced longtime Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron and his co-host Eric Andrews.
During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Tyra recalled that moment when ABC reached out to her about the huge opportunity of hosting Dancing with the Stars.

"They called me and were like, 'Are you interested in this?' This was earlier this year," Tyra said, according to Us Weekly.
"And I'm like, 'You're calling me and asking me this? I would never in a million years think that I'd be asked to host.' So it took me months. I sat on it for months."
Tyra said her mother convinced her to take the gig, and so ABC announced in July the former America's Got Talent and America's Next Top Model host would be joining Dancing with the Stars as its new host and executive producer because the show is embarking on "a new creative direction."

Many fans were especially disappointed to see Tom go considering he had served as the host of Dancing with the Stars since the series premiered on ABC in 2005 -- a span that covered 28 seasons and over 400 episodes.

Tyra said she "made the right decision" by taking the job, but she has received backlash from her fair share of Dancing with the Stars viewers for flubbing her lines.
"Every host messes up. It's just normal, it's live TV," Tyra told Us after Dancing with the Stars' September 28 episode.
"If it wasn't live, there would be no mess ups. But even on America's Next Top Model, I would mess up and tell my editors to leave it in. That's what makes things human and makes things alive."
"If I didn't want to mess up, if I wanted to be perfect, I know how to do that," she continued.
"There's a very clear way as a host that you just read the words and you're perfect and you know exactly how to do that. But when you relax and you keep it real, the mess ups happen, and the producer in me knows... it's live and it's real and it's better than being a doll."
Tyra insisted she knows how to "read a prompter perfectly."
"But I also skip around the prompter to make it as real as possible knowing that... [I'm] going to mess up. It's just normal and keeps it real," she explained.

Tyra said she hit her stride several episodes into Dancing with the Stars and now feels comfortable in her new position.
