For the "judges' choice," Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough took creative control over one celebrity and professional pairing's dance. The judges got to pick their couple's music, concept, costumes, lighting and more. The judges were not allowed to score the routine they provided help on, so the round was only worth 30 points.
Riker and his pro partner Allison Holker first performed a contemporary routine that received 40 out of 40 points from the judges. Julianne then helped to create their subsequent Argentine tango, which she also briefly performed in. The Argentine tango was a sexy routine with a jazzy feel to it that earned 30 points from Len, Carrie Ann and Bruno.
Nastia and her temporary pro partner Sasha Farber initially took the stage with a 40-point worthy quickstep. Her original partner Derek Hough decided he really wanted to perform the dance Len envisioned, so he and Nastia later danced a 30-point worthy Viennese waltz in memory of Len's earlier days since he can barely dance now. He took a couple steps with Nastia at the end of her routine.
Third place on the judging leaderboard went to actress Rumer Willis and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy with 68 total points. They danced a Viennese waltz that received 38 points from the judges and then a Swan-Lake inspired contemporary-fusion routine. Bruno was so proud of his vision, and the other three judges scored the trio a perfect 30.
U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway and partner Sharna Burgess landed in fourth -- and last -- place on the judges' leaderboard with 66 total points. They first took the stage with a Viennese waltz that received 36 points from the judges. With Carrie Ann's help, they later performed a bull fighting-themed paso doble. The couple's dance earned a perfect score like everyone else in this judges' choice round.
Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron revealed that throughout the season, each of the remaining four couples topped the leaderboard and received the most home viewer votes in a particular week. Tom said that has never happened before on the show, and it means that if any of those shows were the finals, any couple left could have won the season.
Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars broadcast will feature the elimination of one couple as a result of combining the judges' scores with America's vote from last night's show. The three pairs who survive will dance in next week's finale.
