"I think all these people are so deserving. From start to finish, it's been an amazing journey, and you know, the friendship and love that we all share for each other has been amazing. And now, I can 100% be a cheerleader, 'Team Meryl!,' love you," Charlie said following his ouster.
"[Charlie] is like my little brother. I love him. I've had such an amazing experience with him. He's taught me so much about positivity and just [his] outlook on life. It's been the most wonderful experience. [He's] a joy to teach and he's a wonderful friend now, dear to my heart," added Sharna.
Charlie and Sharna danced before the round of results were revealed, so they earned 76 out of 80 total possible points for their two individual dances from the show's judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as well as guest judge Kenny Ortega. Their total score landed them in a tie for third place on the judges' leaderboard out of five couples.
Charlie and Sharna danced a foxtrot which received a perfect 40 out of 40 possible points from the judging panel. They also danced a samba routine which earned them an additional 36 out of 40 possible points. The couple tied with Nickelodeon star and Big Time Rush singer James Maslow and his partner Peta Murgatroyd.
James and Peta also received a total of 76 points on the judges' leaderboard after they danced a cha cha worthy of a perfect 40-point score and then followed it up with a rumba, which received 36 points from the judges.
Sochi Olympics ice dancing gold medalist Meryl Davis and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were also in jeopardy of elimination last night although Dancing with the Stars co-host Erin Andrews revealed they were not necessarily one of the bottom two couples.
Meryl and Maks topped Monday night's leaderboard with an overall perfect score of 80 points. They received 40 points for a jive routine and then another perfect score of 40 points for their Viennese waltz.
Second place on the leaderboard went to double-amputee snowboarding champion Amy Purdy and partner Derek Hough with 78 total points. The couple performed a quickstep routine which received 39 points from the judges and then a jazz routine which earned 39 points.
Candace Cameron Bure, an actress and former Full House star, and partner Mark Ballas finished in fifth -- and last -- place on the leaderboard with 72 total points. The pair initially took the stage with a Viennese waltz which received 34 points from the judges. Candace and Mark later returned to the dance floor with a jazz routine, earning an additional 38 points.
