Dancing with the Stars ousted Valerie Harper and her professional partner Tristan MacManus during Monday night's live seventeenth-season broadcast on ABC.

The actress and MacManus became the third couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during last night's performance show and the home viewer votes that were cast following last Monday night's episode.

"[The show] has been absolutely wonderful -- completely unique, like nothing else in the world that you would ever do. And it was an opportunity for me to carry a message to folks -- not just with cancer or whatever they have -- that whatever challenge, like our song tonight 'Keep On Keeping On,' you know?!" Harper said following her ouster.

"It's been great. What a great group of people. I love you [Tom Bergeron], and the judges are fair and they're consistent and they watch and I respect what they do, and the audience out there. It's really a great thing to get up and dance!"

"It's very difficult [to explain]," MacManus said when asked how to describe his connection with Harper.

"Sometimes you get very lucky to do well [with] your partner, sometimes you get very lucky in your life to meet someone who can affect them more than this could at all. And I feel like I've been very lucky to get that, and I feel like maybe me life's a little bit better since I met Valerie Harper."

Harper and MacManus finished in tenth -- and last -- place on Monday night's leaderboard after they earned only 18 out of 30 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as well as guest judge Julianne Hough, who previously competed as a pro on the show, for their Viennese waltz.

Actor and Pretty Little Liars star Brant Daugherty and partner Peta Murgatroyd were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Harper and MacManus' ouster, although Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet revealed Daugherty and Murgatroyd weren't necessarily one of the bottom-two couples based on the combination of the judges' scores and America's vote.

Daugherty and Murgatroyd tied for eighth place on the judges' leaderboard with comedian Bill Engvall and partner Emma Slater after both couples received 21 points from the judges for their routines. Daugherty and Murgatroyd danced the salsa, while Engvall and Slater performed the samba.

First place on Monday night's leaderboard happened to be a three-way tie amongst the celebrities who earned 27 points: Actress and former Step It Up and Dance host Elizabeth Berkley, actress and Glee star Amber Riley, and Disney Channel star Corbin Bleu.

Berkley and partner Val Chmerkovskiy took the stage with an Argentine tango, Riley and partner Derek Hough performed the tango, and Bleu and partner Karina Smirnoff danced a paso doble routine.

Fourth place represented a tie amongst the following four celebrities: Singer and former The Voice social media correspondent Christina Milian, Jersey Shore and Snooki & Jwoww star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, actress and former The Talk co-host Leah Remini, and former The Osbournes and Armed & Famous star Jack Osbourne.

All the couples earned 24 points from the judges for their routines last night. Osbourne and partner Cheryl Burke danced the quickstep, Remini and partner Tony Dovolani performed the cha cha, Polizzi and partner Sasha Farber took the stage with the jive, and Milian and partner Mark Ballas danced the foxtrot.

The nine remaining seventeenth-season Dancing with the Stars couples will return for another two-hour performance show on Monday, October 14, during which the night's scores from the judges and the home viewer voting results cast following last night's show will be combined and one more couple will be eliminated.
