Dancing with the Stars couple Mischa Barton and partner Artem Chigvintsev certainly had a bumpy ride on the show, but right when things started to click, they unfortunately got sent home.

"Absolutely. I think we're the only kind of couple in the competition who had a first tough two weeks and then you're kind of gasping for that air of a change," Chigvintsev said. "This week, I feel like we accomplished so much, and the last four days of training... we've done so much more than in the past five weeks [altogether]."
Chigvintsev is clearly disappointed about their early ouster from the Season 22 competition.
"I was thinking, 'Finally, we're getting somewhere positive and we're achieving our goals and we keep smiling and we're having positive energy in the room.' And that's the time we go home," the pro dancer admitted.
"[We're] not happy with the outcome, for sure, let me tell you. But I feel like after us having a rough start, we finally got somewhere and I'm proud... We did our best, let's just say that."
Barton, a former star on The O.C., apparently jumped into Dancing with the Stars after finishing up with a film, and Chigvintsev suggested she was just taken aback by the show's difficulty.
"It's been a fun experience. I've learned a lot from Artem. And he's right. What we've been doing in two days was taking a week before or four days of training just to get the basics [down]," Barton said. "It definitely started to click for me but it took a minute!"
Barton joked that "Team Black Velvet" was "very interesting."
"We should've had our own show!" the actress joked.
"This relationship, there's been a lot of ups and downs," Artem told E! News. "I'll just say it's real. It's not [for show]. But I think this was a blessing, that we expressed our feelings... because I don't want BS. I don't want someone to say, 'Oh I'm so happy with you -- not!' Like if you're unhappy, tell me you are unhappy. I want that. I want that to be real."
On a high note, Barton was thrilled to receive a lot of "amazing" support from former The O.C. fans as well as cast members.
