"I'm walking around easily, doing my physical therapy. The doc did an amazing job and said that I should be 100 percent by February 10," Smirnoff told E! News Monday evening.
"She is resting comfortably and is expected to make a full recovery," Smirnoff's representative echoed to E! News regarding her recovery and availability for this spring's edition of ABC dance reality competition. "She’s looking forward to the new season of Dancing With the Stars."
Life & Style magazine first reported of the surgery on Monday after learning that she had not made it to a weekend appearance at the Shrine Asian Kitchen, Lounge & Nightclub at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT with fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
While an insider told Life & Style at the time that the injury "was the result of wear and tear -- not a specific incident," Smirnoff told E! News she had suffered a torn meniscus in her knee while participating on Dancing with the Stars current dance tour.
