Dancing with the Stars pro Sasha Farber has revealed the details of Suni Lee's mysterious illness that was briefly mentioned during Monday night's Season 30 performance show.

After taking the stage with Suni twice on Dancing with the Stars' latest episode, Sasha shared with Us Weekly how Suni has "some sort of virus -- not COVID -- in which she keeps throwing up everything she eats."

Sasha explained how he and Suni experienced a "really scary" moment before walking onstage to perform their paso doble to "We Will Rock You" for the first round of competition on Monday night.

"Right before the dance started... we were standing in the tunnel, and [Suni] just kind of, like, 10 seconds in, vomited in her mouth and tears started to come out and she started walking away, saying, like, 'No, I can't do it,'" Sasha shared with Us.

"And I was like, 'Suni, you've got this. Come on. This is game time.' And she turned around and she was, like, holding it in -- and she held it in for a minute and 35 [seconds]. And then the second the dance was over, she ran to a trashcan."

Viewers saw Suni run off the stage holding her stomach on "Queen Night" instead of listening to the judges' feedback and waiting for the judges' scores. (She and Sasha received 33 out of 40 possible points for their paso doble routine).

Sasha admitted Suni felt "down" because she was "embarrassed" about being sick on TV.

"The poor thing is so embarrassed. Being an Olympian and gold medalist, you know, she felt that was embarrassing," Sasha said.

"But I told her that was real and that just proves that you held on to the last second."

Sasha revealed there "was a bit of drama" backstage with producers when deciding whether the pair should do their second dance for Round 2, the relay, considering Suni was in such bad shape.

"We're all saying to her, like, 'You're going to regret this tomorrow if you don't do this.' Because they would have played the dress run, and that's where she was -- the poor thing was, you know, walking [through it]," Sasha recalled.

"So, she was like, 'Okay, you know what? I'm going to do it.' And the power of the other pros and celebrities cheering around in that relay, like, that's the most smiling and most passion [she's shown]. She really dug deep and she did it."

Sasha, however, said he and Suni weren't able to rehearse for the second round of competition since their routine required so much spinning around in circles.

"It was so stressful. The poor girl started to feel really sick on Tuesday [last week], and it got worse and worse. We had to miss rehearsals. Today was actually the first time she did the relay because she couldn't do it last night," Sasha said.

"I danced with a mannequin [in rehearsals]. I thought it was really funny, probably not my best work. But she's just been under the weather and we've missed a lot of rehearsals."

Sasha apparently just told Suni to "chill" and relax as much as possible before doing their second dance.

"I was like... 'We got this. You don't have to rehearse. I'm going to go extra slow. I've got you. I want all your worries [to go away], like, let me worry. You just hold on and hold your breath. Don't throw up on me, and we got this,'" Sasha said with a laugh.

Suni and Sasha ended up receiving one bonus point from Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba for their Viennese waltz to "We are the Champions" in the relay round.

"I think it was probably the hardest week I've ever had on Dancing with the Stars," confessed Sasha, who has competed on nine seasons of the ABC reality series.

Sasha acknowledged that Suni "had to throw up" pretty much every time they practiced their dances in the last week.

After the show, Suni went to the doctor, and Sasha shared, "We're going to get her some food and get her some fluids and hopefully get her back on her feet... I think she just needs more sleep."

"We have a new week, two dances. It's a new challenge," Sasha revealed of what's ahead for the Dancing with the Stars couple.

"It's going to be a hard week, but hopefully she's feeling better and I'm just so proud to be dancing with such a warrior."

Given their total score for the night was 34 out of 44 possible points, Suni and Sasha tied for sixth place on the judges' leaderboard with two other couples: talk show host Amanda Kloots and pro partner Alan Bersten as well as NBA champion Iman Shumpert and pro partner Daniella Karagach.
