Dancing with the Stars pro Sharma Burgess and her boyfriend Brian Austin Green have announced they're engaged after three years of dating and also revealed how Brian popped the question.

Sharma, 38, revealed during the Friday, September 22 episode of her "Oldish" podcast that she and Brian have actually been engaged for two months.

While the couple got engaged in July, Sharma didn't publicly share the news until Friday, when she posted a sweet video on Instagram.

The Instagram video showed Brian, 50, putting his hand out, before all of his children -- one at a time -- placed one hand on top of his. The pile was topped with Sharma's hand, which was showing off a diamond engagement ring on her ring finger.

Sharma and Brian share a two-year-old son, Zane, who was born in June 2022.

Brian is also dad to sons Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7 -- all of whom he shares with ex-wife Megan Fox. He also has a 21-year-old son Kassius, whom he welcomed with ex-fiancee Vanessa Marcil.

Sharma captioned the clip, "The latest chapter."

The pair also confirmed their happy engagement news by writing the following on their podcast's Instagram account: "BRIAN AND SHARNA ARE ENGAGED! Listen to hear the whole story on the new episode of Oldish at the link in our bio!!"

Brian proposed marriage to Sharma on his 50th birthday. Sharma had thrown him a surprise birthday party, and he chose to honor their relationship in front of their family and friends.

"I never saw it coming!" Sharma gushed on the "Oldish" podcast last week.

Brian chose to involve his kids in the intimate proposal, which took place in the couple's bedroom at home when about 10 guests were still celebrating downstairs.

"It got to, like, 8PM and Bri goes to me and says, 'Baby, come with me for a second, I've got to show you something.' And I was like, 'Oh, okay.' I go with him and we start going upstairs, and I'm like, 'Oh my god, what happened? What's wrong?'" Sharma recalled.

"We have kids everywhere in the house, so I was like, 'What's broken?'"

Sharma said once they got to the bedroom, she got "these feelings" that "a moment" was about to unfold.

"I was like, 'What's happening here?!' And I walk in there like, 'What's going on?' And then suddenly, he's like, 'Hey kids, come here!'" the Dancing with the Stars pro continued.

"And the kids come in with him and Noah is holding Zane, and Journey's holding this little red Cartier box, and they all come in there and they stand next to Bri. Bri takes the box from Journey, he opens it up to me, and he says, 'Will you spend the rest of your life with us?'"

Sharma said she couldn't believe the engagement was really happening.

"I knew one day, at some point, it would happen. We talked about it all the time, but there was no rush, obviously, and I certainly didn't think it was going to happen on his 50th birthday," Sharma explained.

"Of course I said, 'Yes,' and I put that ring on my finger and hugged all of them -- and it was the most perfect, beautiful moment because it was us, our unit. It was our tribe, and I love that's how he wanted to do it."

Sharma said Brian could've made the proposal "flashy" but it's "not his style" and it "wouldn't have felt right" for him to do it that way.

"I think the kids also would've felt awkward with so many eyes, because they're not like that either," Sharma said.

"To have that beautiful, intimate moment with my people, you know, my tribe standing right there bringing me in with this gorgeous ring that is a dream. I didn't know what to do with myself other than saying, 'Yes to this lifetime and all the lifetimes!'"

Brian said this was the start to the second half of his life and so his 50th birthday felt like "an amazing time" to pop the question.

"And I wanted the kids to be a part of it because they're a part of everything," Brian noted, adding how the kids didn't really learn of their roles until shortly before the big moment.

The actor explained that getting engaged to Sharma just felt like the "easy" next progression.

"For Sharma to be able to share a last name with all of us and so that's the end goal [and] this is just part of the process," Brian shared.

Sharma said it "means the world" to her to share a last name with Brian and his kids.

Sharma and Brian met at a coffee shop and began dating in Spring 2020, shortly after Brian announced his split from Megan. Brian and Sharma, however, attempted to keep their relationship a secret for a little while, and they didn't go Instagram official until January 2021.

Sharma told Us Weekly in October 2021 -- while celebrating the couple's one-year dating anniversary -- that if Brian didn't want to get married again, it would be "a dealbreaker" for her.

"I was really grateful that he was open to that," she said at the time. "He even brought it up. He said with the right person then yes. And I do want marriage and babies, what a fairy tale. So I needed to know."

Sharma and Brian previously competed on Dancing with the Stars' 30th season together. They were the third couple eliminated from the season.

Dancing with the Stars 30 marked Sharma's fourteenth season on the show as a pro partner. She won the mirrorball trophy one time with celebrity partner Bobby Bones back on Season 27 in 2018.

Sharma chose not to participate in Dancing with the Stars' 31st season in Fall 2022 because she had just welcomed her first child, Zane, on June 28 of that year.

Sharma, however, was shocked and upset not to be asked back for Dancing with the Stars' 32nd season, which premieres Tuesday, September 26 on ABC with a simulcast on Disney+.
