Joseph and Daniella were up against The D'Amelio Show star Heidi D'Amelio and pro partner Artem Chigvintsev in the bottom-two couples.
Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were tasked with saving one of the two couples and sending the other couple home. Len, as the head judge, would break a tie if necessary.
Derek voted to save Heidi and Artem, Carrie Ann voted to advance Joseph and Daniella in the competition, Bruno voted to keep Heidi and Artem another week, and then Len voted to save Heidi and Artem.
"This was an incredible, incredible experience. I'm a little emotional because I loved this so much," Joseph said following his ouster.
"I've loved learning how to dance and I don't think I'm going to stop. I love it so much and it's just been such an impactful experience being with such a great, great cast... I'm just so appreciative of the talent that's here and the judges and everyone. This experience has meant so much to me and I'm very happy."
Prior to the elimination portion of the evening, each of the 11 remaining celebrity and professional pairings performed in two rounds of competition.
After each couple performed a hit from the celebrity's high school prom, all the couples competed in a "Dance Marathon" to earn between 1-11 bonus points.
The Dance Marathon featured all the couples dancing at the same time within small spaces on the dance floor. When a couple was tapped, they were out. And the longer a couple lasted, the more bonus points they'd receive.
The marathon tested the couples' endurance and stamina, and the last couple standing at the end of four minutes would win. Creative moments and improv were key.
Country star and former Eric & Jessie: Game On star Jessie James Decker and pro partner Alan Bersten won the Dance Marathon and the 11 bonus points, naming them "Prom King and Queen." However, Jessie and Alan did not top the overall judges' leaderboard for Dancing with the Stars' two-night event.

TikTok and The D'Amelio Show star Charli D'Amelio and pro partner Mark Ballas topped the two-night leaderboard in first place with 84 total points.
Charli and Mark danced a jive on Tuesday night to "You Make My Dreams" by Hall & Oates and earned 38 out of 40 points for it.
Derek thought the routine was "near perfect," although he would've like to see a little more energy in it. Bruno thought the jive was "stunning" and "incredible," but Carrie Ann noticed Charli fell out of character at one point.
Charli and Mark also received seven points from the Dance Marathon.

Wayne and Witney danced a samba to "It Takes Two" by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock for "Prom Night" and earned a perfect score of 40 points for it.
Bruno called Wayne and Witney "The King and Queen of Samba," and Carrie Ann thought it was a breakthrough dance for him. Len even got on his feet and gave Wayne a very rare standing ovation.

In addition to the six points they received in the Dance Marathon, Gabby and Val earned 40 points for their "Prom Night" tango to "Good Girls Go Bad" by Cobra Starship.
Carrie Ann said Gabby finally showed her personality and gave her the "more" she had been asking for, adding how it was "sassy and bad." And Len said it was "fantastic" -- full of attack, sharpness, control, and clarity.
Heidi and Artem placed fourth on the two-night leaderboard with a total of 78 points.
Heidi and Artem performed a 33-point worthy jazz routine to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper.
Heidi and Artem also received nine points in the Dance Marathon.
Bruno pointed out how Heidi missed a step and it was a little bit shaky, and Carrie Ann admitted she wanted to see more because Heidi because she's a really strong dancer and needs to show her best every time. Len, however, disagreed with Carrie Ann and liked the whole routine.
Drag queen and former RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Shangela Wadley and pro partner Gleb Savchenko finished the two-night event in fifth place with a total of 77 points.
Shangela and Gleb took the stage with a cha cha dance on Tuesday night to "Waiting for Tonight" by Jennifer Lopez that received 35 judges' points.
Carrie Ann gushed how the performance was "insane" and she's officially a member of "The Fly Girl Club." She thought it was powerful despite a few tiny missteps. Len thought it was full of energy but he said he'd like to see Shangela's legs look a little crisper.
Shangela and Gleb also received 10 points from the Dance Marathon.
Sixth place on the leaderboard represented a tie between two couples at 72 total points: TV star and model Trevor Donovan and pro partner Emma Slater as well as Jessie and Alan.
Trevor and Emma danced a jive to "Basket Case" by Green Day for "Prom Night" and received 32 judges' points.

Jessie and Alan jumped high on the leaderboard thanks to the 11 points they won in the Dance Marathon.
For their first routine of the evening, Jessie and Alan performed a Viennese waltz to "Breakway" by Kelly Clarkson. The dance received 32 judges' points.
Derek thought Jessie's frame was strong and beautiful and she's getting better each week, and Bruno said she brought class and poise to the ballroom.
Singer and former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and pro partner Brandon Armstrong claimed eighth place on the judging leaderboard with a two-night total of 71 points.
Jordin and Brandon took the stage with a contemporary routine to her own song, "No Air," on Tuesday night, and they received 35 points from the judges for it.
Derek thought the dance was beautiful, and Carrie Ann said Jordin managed to express art through movement and show her heart. But Len complained that he wanted to see more content and less spinning on the floor.
Jordin and Brandon received only three points in the Dance Marathon.
Joseph and Daniella finished the two-night event in ninth place on the leaderboard with a total of 70 points.
Combined with their four points from the Dance Marathon, Joseph and Daniella received 32 points for the "Prom Night" cha cha to "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon.
Bruno said Joseph has improved so much and the work he's been applying was very apparent. Carrie Ann praised Joseph's attention to detail and how he understands movement so well, but she noted his dance from Monday night was a little better.

Daniel and Britt danced the cha cha to "Bringing Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake, and they earned 32 points from the judges for the routine.
Len said Daniel got his hips working, but Carrie Ann noted how Daniel appears "contained" in his performances and should let loose and show more passion. Derek, however, said Daniel oozes swag and confidence when he performs.
Daniel and Britt were the first couple eliminated from the Dance Marathon, and so they only received one bonus point.
And finally, former Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino and pro partner Koko Iwasaki fell to the bottom of the two-night leaderboard in eleventh place with a total of 62 points from the judges.
Vinny and Koko performed a Viennese waltz to "You and Me" by Lifehouse that earned only 28 points from the judges.
