Dancing with the Stars eliminated Mary Wilson and her professional partner Brandon Armstrong after new voting and results formats were put into effect and Hannah Brown topped the leaderboard during Monday night's Season 28 broadcast on ABC.

"It was fabulous! I enjoyed it so much!" Mary said of her short-lived Dancing with the Stars experience following her ouster.

The iconic member of The Supremes and Brandon landed in the bottom two along with former NFL football star Ray Lewis and partner Cheryl Burke based on the combination of judges' scores from the last two performance shows as well as the live votes that poured in throughout Monday night's broadcast as it aired in the Eastern and Central time zones.

In a new Dancing with the Stars twist, however, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman were able to vote to save one of the bottom-two couples from elimination. (Len, as the head judge, casts the deciding vote in the case of opposing votes from Carrie Ann and Bruno).

Although Carrie Ann voted to save Mary and Brandon, both Bruno and Len voted to keep Ray and Cheryl in the competition going forward.

Len admitted he went with his head instead of his heart when casting the tie-breaking vote.

Prior to Mary and Brandon's elimination, each celebrity and professional pairing took the stage one time -- and The Bachelorette's Season 15 star won the night.

Hannah and her professional partner Alan Bersten topped the combined two-week leaderboard in first place with a grand total of 44 points from the Dancing with the Stars judges.

Hannah and Alan danced a Viennese waltz on Monday night that earned 24 points from Carrie Ann, Bruno and Len.

A whopping five couples tied for fourth place on the judges' leaderboard with a two-week total of 36 points.

Those couples were model Sailor Brinkley-Cook -- who replaced her mother, supermodel Christie Brinkley, in the competition -- and partner Val Chmerkovskiy, actress Kate Flannery and partner Pasha Pashkov, pop star and Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke and partner Sasha Farber, Queer Eye star Karamo Brown and partner Jenna Johnson, and comedian and actor Kel Mitchell and partner Witney Carson.

And finally, former Khloe & Lamar star and NBA champion Lamar Odom and partner Peta Murgatroyd fell to the bottom of the leaderboard in twelfth -- and last -- place with a combined total of 23 judges' points. The pair only received 12 points on Monday night for their salsa.

Live voting can be done on abc.com or via text.

Beginning in Week 3 of the Dancing with the Stars competition, the live votes will be combined with the judges' scores for the night, sending a couple home.

As a result, voting totals will be revealed live at the end of each upcoming broadcast.
