At the end of the Dancing with the Stars broadcast, it appeared Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik and Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher were in jeopardy of getting eliminated, but then Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro made a surprising announcement.

"Dancing in the finale are -- all of you! You have all made it to the finale!" Alfonso shouted.

"That's right! No one is going home tonight," Dancing with the Stars co-host Julianne Hough added.

"All of the judges' scores and viewer votes from tonight will carry over to next week's scores and votes to help determine our new champions."

Alfonso also revealed that home viewers had broken the record for the most votes cast during a single Dancing with the Stars episode.

The semi-finals performance show featured each celebrity and professional pairing performing two full dances -- a Latin routine and a ballroom number -- for Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

Two couples topped the judges' leaderboard in first place on Tuesday night with a near-perfect total score of 58 out of 60 possible points.

The highest-scoring pairs were The Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei and pro partner Jenna Johnson as well as TV star Chandler Kinney and pro partner Brandon Armstrong.

Joey and Jenna's first dance of the evening was a foxtrot that received a perfect score of 30 out of 30 possible points from the judges.

Derek said it was "a masterpiece" and his frame was so pristine it could've been hung in a gallery.

Derek went on to gush about how this foxtrot was one of the best, if not the best, foxtrots he's ever seen on Dancing with the Stars. And Bruno added that it was a "brilliant" performance.

Joey and Jenna also performed a 28-point worthy paso doble.

Carrie Ann said she loved the attack and the passion but Joey was a little ahead of the music and there was a stumble at the end. Derek noted how it was a "deliberate and powerful" performance.

Chandler and Brandon received 29 judges' points for each of their two routines on Tuesday night.

Chandler and Brandon danced a salsa that Carrie Ann said was "spicy" and "on fire," but Derek said he would've like to see more salsa content.

Chandler and Brandon also performed a foxtrot routine.

Bruno said it was "intensely sensual" and that Chandler's technique was incredible.

But Carrie Ann noted how Chandler's foot came off the ground twice and so she had to judge the performance fairly. Derek complimented Brandon's growth as a pro partner this year.

Ilona and her pro partner Alan Bersten finished the night in third place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 57 points.

Ilona and Alan danced a paso doble that received 28 points from the judges, and they also took the stage with a 29-point worthy Viennese waltz.

Bruno said the pair's paso doble was so strong and so focused, and Carrie Ann asked Ilona to never doubt that she belongs in this competition and in the semi-finals.

For their near-perfect Viennese waltz, Ilona was dubbed delicate, graceful and tender by Derek, who noted, however, that there could've been more of a stride across the dance floor.

Bruno also praised Ilona's musicality and softness, and he said he saw the real her that night.

Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola and pro partner Witney Carson claimed fourth place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 54 points.

For their first dance, Danny and Witney performed a Viennese waltz that earned 27 judges' points.

Carrie Ann said he always dances with integrity, and Derek said the moves were fantastic but Danny could emote and be a bit more expressive onstage.

Danny and Witney later followed that up with a salsa routine that received the same score of 27 points.

Carrie Ann thought the lifts were amazing, and Derek said Danny had blown the roof off the place.

Bruno also pointed out how Danny had done an incredible job and the judge was so proud of him.

And finally, Stephen and pro partner Rylee Arnold landed in fifth -- and last -- place on the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard with a total of 53 judges' points.

Stephen and Rylee didn't exactly wow the judges with their first performance of the night, a 25-point worthy cha cha.

Derek thought the dance "got the better" of Stephen because there were bent legs and turned-in feet, and Bruno agreed that Stephen needed to work harder.

The Dancing with the Stars judges were hoping he'd make a comeback in the second round of competition.

Once Stephen and Rylee took the stage again, they performed a tango that received a much better score of 28 points from the judges.

Bruno could tell Stephen was trying his best and concentrating for this dance, and the judge noted that Stephen got the job done this time.

Carrie Ann gushed about how Stephen led Rylee through the dance like a pro.

Dancing with the Stars' Season 33 finale will air a whopping three-hour event on Tuesday, November 26 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
