Dancing with the Stars shocked fans with a double elimination in which Vanessa Lachey and Nikki Bella were sent packing during Monday night's broadcast of the series' 25th season on ABC.

Vanessa, a TV personality, and her professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy as well as Nikki, a Total Divas star and WWE wrestler, and partner Artem Chigvintsev became the sixth and seventh couples ousted from the competition based on the combination of Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during last week's performance show and the home viewer votes that were cast immediately afterward.
Last week, both pairs had successful performances, as they tied for fourth place on the judges' leaderboard with 36 out of 40 points for their respective routines.
Monday night's Halloween-themed Week 7 episode featured the eight remaining couples each performing an individual routine followed by a "Team Dance."
For the "Team Dance" round, the following couples named themselves "Monster Mash:" Nikki and Artem, NFL football wide receiver and six-time Pro Bowler Terrell Owens and partner Cheryl Burke, internationally-recognized violinist Lindsey Stirling and partner Mark Ballas, and singer and actor Jordan Fisher and partner Lindsay Arnold.

Monster Mash earned 24 out of 30 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman for their group dance.
As for the pairs who were on "Team Phantom of the Ballroom," they were Vanessa and Maksim, ESPN personality and former Paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen and partner Val Chmerkovskiy, actor and race car driver Frankie Muniz and partner Witney Carson, and Property Brothers star Drew Scott and partner Emma Slater.
Phantom of the Ballroom received a perfect score of 30 points from the judges and were told they had delivered "the most exquisite" and "the most polished" Team Dance in show history.
These Team-Dance scores were added on to each couple's individual score for the night.
Frankie and Witney topped the judges' leaderboard in first place on Monday night with an overall score of 60 points. They initially took the stage with a creepy contemporary routine that earned a perfect score of 30 points from the judges and then followed that up with their Team Dance.

Drew and Emma tied for second place on the leaderboard with Victoria and Val after both couples earned a total of 57 points from the judges.
In addition to their Team Dance scores, Drew and Emma danced a 27-point worthy Charleston routine inspired by Corpse Bride and Victoria and Val performed a Viennese waltz dressed as ghosts that received 27 points from the judges.
Two couples also tied for fourth place on the judges' leaderboard with 54 total points.
Jordan and Lindsay took the stage with a werewolf-inspired paso doble, which scored 30 points.
And Vanessa and Maksim performed a paso doble, dressed as zombies, that received 24 points from the judges. Vanessa's high Team Dance score bumped up her position on the leaderboard.

Lindsey and Mark landed in sixth place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 51 points. They initially danced a paso doble dressed as skeletons, which earned 27 points from the judges. Lindsey performed despite suffering from a painful rib injury one day prior.
Terrell and Cheryl claimed seventh place on the leaderboard with a total of 49 points. In addition to their Team Dance score, the pair received 25 points for their individual number -- a vampire tango.
And finally, Nikki and Artem fell into eighth -- and last -- place with a total of 48 points. They received 24 points for their initial Hocus Pocus-inspired jive routine, and unfortunately, their score working with Monster Mash didn't help them out much.
