The last couple still on the floor, who ultimately danced the best cha cha, received 10 points from the judges, while second place got nine, third place eight points and so on. The cha cha "dance marathon" scores were added to each couple's initial scores from their first performance, creating a grand total of points on the leaderboard for the night.
Jenkins and Ballas performed a samba routine which received a 29-point score from the judges and they came in first place for their cha cha performance during the "dance marathon," receiving 10 additional points -- which vaulted them into first place on the leaderboard with 39 total points.
Actor Jaleel White -- who is best known for his role on ABC's sitcom Family Matters -- and partner Kym Johnson finished in second place on the leaderboard. They received 29 points, the highest number of points they've had all season on the judges' leaderboard, for their initial cha cha routine and were originally tied for first place with Jenkins and Ballas.
However, they finished the "dance marathon" in third place and earned an additional eight points from the judges, landing them in second place for the night with 37 total points.
Telenovela star William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke finished in third place on the judges' leaderboard with 36 total points.
After dancing a rumba routine that earned 27 points from the judges, Levy and Burke returned to the dance floor and participated in the "dance marathon" which tacked on nine additional points to their individual score for coming in second place.
NFL player Donald Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd finished in fourth place on Monday night's leaderboard with 34 total points after they received 27 points for their initial foxtrot routine and seven points for their cha cha "dance marathon" routine.
Fifth place on the grand-total leaderboard represented a tie between former Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Entertainment reporter and Extra host Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough. Both couples ended the night with a 30-point grand total.
Gilbert and Chmerkovskiy earned 24 points from the judges for their Viennese waltz and also came in fifth place during the "dance marathon," earning them an additional six points. Menounos and Hough received 26 points for their initial foxtrot routine but only got to tack on four more points to their score after coming in seventh place during the "dance marathon."
Seventh place on the judges' leaderboard went to Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower with a grand total of 28 points. They danced a rumba which earned them 23 points and then capped off the night with five more points for their "dance marathon" cha cha performance.
Singer Gladys Knight and partner Tristan MacManus finished in eighth -- and last -- place on Monday night's judging leaderboard with only 24 total points. After performing a rumba to a Motown song which received 21 points from the judges, they were also the first couple kicked out of the "dance marathon" -- leaving them only three additional points.

During Tuesday night's broadcast of Dancing with the Stars' live results show, the bottom two couples based on home viewer votes cast following last night's performance show will dance simultaneously for the judges in a "dance duel," and then the judges will decide who goes home -- giving one last chance for the best dancer in the bottom two to stay in the competition.
