Daniel Maguire from Bachelor in Paradise insists people want him to be the next The Bachelor star and America will be sorry if someone else, like Luke Pell, gets the gig.

During a Thursday conference call with reporters, Maguire discussed whether he'd like to become Season 21's Bachelor if the opportunity presented itself.
"Oh 100% I'd become the Bachelor if I was asked. I mean, that's if I'm still single after this [Bachelor in Paradise] season," Maguire told reporters, being careful not to spoil how his time in Paradise ends.
"Because I think I'm the most realistic, regular guy out there. Most of the Bachelors you come across, to be honest, I've never come across any of these guys -- because they're so fake. I've never met one... in my entire life."
Maguire said most guys speak just like him in that they're not always perfectly polished and gentlemanly.

"Obviously I'm a little more extreme, I exaggerate a little more and joke around a little more, but that's why so many regular guys watch the show and love me," Maguire revealed.
"They're like 'Oh my girlfriend got me to watch and I love you because you tell the truth, you tell it how it is, you speak what's on your mind.' And it's like, if you're here to watch The Bachelor, you want a real dude -- something that's more realistic than, 'Oh, I love you so much,' right off the bat. And, 'Oh, she's so beautiful!'"
Maguire noted, "It's just like, 'Come on, let's get real!'"
"People want 'real,' people want to be entertained and people want ME," Maguire continued. "So if you get to watch, like for example, Luke. Yeah, he's a great guy and everything, but you might as well put it on mute because that's how boring it is, you know?!"
ABC has reportedly chosen Pell to be the next The Bachelor star barring a hiccup. Just in case, the network allegedly has other suitors on the back burner, like Chase McNary and James Taylor.

No surprise here: Maguire said he'd rather watch his buddy Chad Johnson on The Bachelor than any of those choices.
"At least [Chad] is entertaining and real. He's not going to fall in love with every single girl right off the bat. He's not going to be like, 'Oh, she's perfect. She's perfect. She's perfect.' At least, you know, he could have fun with it and what not," Maguire told reporters.
"So I think I'd make a great Bachelor and I think I'm a great catch as well, and that's just my personal stance on it. Obviously everyone has a different opinion on it. They might think, 'Oh, this guy is too crazy,' or whatever."
But Maguire said America is finally seeing more sides to his personality on Bachelor in Paradise.
"[Viewers are] getting to know me more, they're seeing that I'm not all just fun and games. I'm not all jokes. I have a serious side as well and an intellectual side as well, but obviously, on TV, they can only show so much," Maguire explained.

"But I've definitely liked and enjoyed what I've seen on TV and how I've been portrayed. People are loving it and they're telling me that personally on Instagram and in person. So, I'm happy with the way things turned out."
