However, after the couple broke-up, Darcey began dating Tom Brooks, a jet-setting British man she had connected with four years ago on Facebook. The pair had planned to meet up, but she met Jesse instead.
Darcey said she always stayed loyal to Jesse but wondered about Tom in the back of her mind.
90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days's third season featured Darcey traveling to Europe to meet Tom in person for the first time and get to know him better.
Despite hitting some bumps in their relationship, Darcey's trip ended with Tom professing his love for Darcey. However, he did not, as Darcey had hoped, also propose marriage.
Instead, Darcey returned home to Connecticut planning to continue a long distance relationship with Tom. But a few weeks after she returned home, Tom contacted Darcey and told her the long-distance situation wasn't working and he was ready to end things.
Tom told Darcey that she didn't respect him because she'd send "1500 text messages" when he's in a business meeting or call him at 4AM.
"I feel I can't give this love and time you want. It's just, like, what's the point? From my perspective and this juncture in my life, where I see it, I just prefer to be single and your friend," Tom told Darcey.
"I'm not looking for anyone else, but if you meet somebody who is better than me or he can give you more than I can give you, then I'd be happy for you, and you know that."
But heading into Part 1 of the Tell-All special, Tom said his relationship with Darcey was "complicated" because he still loved Darcey very much. He said he needed to come up with a plan for how their relationship could progress and advance.
Darcey said her romance with Tom "died out" a little bit once she returned to America and it was probably because Tom wasn't ready for a serious commitment.
Since Tom and Darcey were no longer together after filming ended, Tom was asked why he was attending the Tell-All.
Tom replied that he wanted to support Darcey and see her again, but when asked whether Darcey was his girlfriend, he said, "We're together, and we're seeing if that's a possibility."
Darcey, however, definitely considered Tom to be her boyfriend.
However, the day after Part 2 of the Tell-All aired on TLC in October 2019, announced she was single and looking for a new man!
"Single and ready to mingle! Done with the past," the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days star wrote in an Instagram posting.
"Excited for what the future holds! I'm ready for a sexy and manly Aussie! Let's go down under! Will always keep my heart open to life and real love!"
In early November, Darcey also announced she planned to move to Los Angeles.
"I know my heart! I will always keep shining! Bigger and better is coming! I know and own my truth and heart! No one can use me anymore! Moving on up....LA baby!" Darcey captioned a video of herself.
"I deserve the best! Never settle for less! Rid the haters and users. Get out of my life and leave me alone! #getoutofmylife #leavemealone."
Darcey and Tom also returned for Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, however the season only chronicled the events that proceeded and followed their breakup.
