David, 39, is a recently retired MLB catcher who became the first pro baseball player to ever compete on Dancing with the Stars this season.
After years of being in the center of all the action on the baseball field, the newly-retired athlete currently works as a special assistant for the Chicago Cubs team and TV baseball analyst for ESPN.

- David was born in Bainbridge, GA, in 1977. He attended Florida State University's laboratory school, Florida High School, in Tallahassee.
- David is married to his high school sweetheart, Hyla Ross, and the couple has three children together: Landri, Cole and Harper.
- He is one of few players to play in the College World Series with two different colleges, first with the Auburn University Tigers in Alabama in 1997, and then with the University of Florida Gators in 1998.
- The DWTS contestant launched his major league baseball career by playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002.
He later went on to win two World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2013 and then the Chicago Cubs in 2016.
