Derek Hough has taken his sister Julianne Hough's side after Amber Rose accused the Dancing with the Stars judge of body shaming her.

"To say that [Julianne] was doing THAT, is definitely just false," Derek, 31, told Entertainment Tonight.

"I think we all know Julianne and she is a huge advocate for being kind. She's an ambassador for Kind Campaign, especially with girl on girl, to support each other as women."

During last week's Dancing with the Stars show, Julianne was shown admitting to her fellow judges she felt "uncomfortable" watching Amber's sexy "Booty" dance with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy in which the curvaceous contestant rocked tight jeans shorts and executed some provocative moves.

Amber later revealed in her own podcast that she felt Julianne had unfairly criticized her due to her busty appearance. Amber said if female pro dancers on the show delivered the same risque choreography, they'd be commended and praised as being stunning.

"And for me, and my body, my hips, my ass, my breasts, made her uncomfortable," Amber alleged, which Julianne repeatedly denied in the press afterwards, saying her comment was taken out of context.

Derek insisted to ET that Julianne was "definitely, definitely not" body shaming Amber and that the judge's comments were "100 percent" misunderstood.

"When I heard [Amber's allegation], I was actually like, 'I understand. You get your feelings hurt when you're on the show, especially when you're so vulnerable,' so I understand [Amber] felt bummed out," Derek explained.

"But I think Julianne is the complete opposite of that, and she stands for everything that's [the opposite of] body shaming."

Julianne, 28, and Amber, 32, at least appeared to bury the hatchet during Monday night's Dancing with the Stars performance show.

Julianne insisted she is only on Dancing with the Stars to judge the contestants' dancing and absolutely not the type of person who would shame a woman when it comes to body image. Amber appreciated the explanation and apologized if she had perceived Julianne's intent wrongly.
