Dominique Alexis' chemistry with The Bachelor star turned from hot to cold, according to Nick Viall.

"Rachel and I had a strong connection from the night we met, so much so that I'd given her my First Impression Rose. Dominique was a woman I was intrigued by, but we just hadn't had the chance to develop a strong connection yet," Viall wrote.
"I was looking forward to spending time with Dominique and seeing her personality come through on this date."
For the date, the bachelorettes competed in track and field events to win some alone time with Viall, and Astrid Loch eventually came out on top.
"Heading into the after party there was one woman I couldn't get off my mind, Dominique," Viall disclosed of the 25-year-old restaurant server from LA. "Unfortunately, she just couldn't get out of her own head."
Alexis thought the Bachelor didn't give her a fair chance, as she allegedly tried to get flirty with him during the group date only to be ignored. Alexis was frustrated and feeling insecure, and she took those emotions out on Viall during a somewhat awkward confrontation.
"I felt terrible that Dominique questioned herself and how amazing she is. I could see something the night we met, I saw a spark there -- but once we sat down, I just didn't see it any longer," Viall explained.
"This environment doesn't work for everyone, and I felt in that moment that Dominique would never be able to be her best self in this journey."
Viall therefore eliminated the bachelorette and later revealed he "didn't regret sending [her] home" although it was definitely "a low moment" in the week of dates.
"I didn't need more time to think about it, and I didn't want to take her into another Rose Ceremony if I already knew what I was going to do. Saying goodbye to Dominique was sad, but I knew it was the right choice for us both," Viall said.
The Bachelor star added that letting Alexis go reminded him of how much pressure the women must have been feeling at this point in the journey.
