If you thought all of the wacky reality show concepts had already been taken, think again. The Associated Press reports that Survivor producer Mark Burnett is teaming up with American tycoon and egomaniac Donald Trump to produce the strangest reality TV show yet.

On The Apprentice, a 13-episode series scheduled to air on NBC, about 20 young people will compete for a job with a six-figure salary in Trump's organization. Each week, the contestants will be given a job assignment to complete, and the ones who fail to complete it successfully will be grilled (read: publicly humiliated) by Trump and his lieutenants. At the end of each show, Trump will fire a contestant on the air.
Trump promises that the show will be "fun, entertaining and cutthroat."
Oh, goody, the perfect reality TV show --- your job interview, your performance reviews, and your firing are televised live to the whole country. Oh, and the prize is a job with an unpredictable, self-centered, arrogant millionaire who went bankrupt once and got back on top by shafting his small investors. We doubt that even Mark Burnett's undeniable casting skills can entice lots of well-qualified people to queue up to become The Apprentice.
