Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has announced Governor Mike Pence of Indiana as his running mate.

Gov. Pence's participation adds a traditional conservative to the Republican ticket with his views on abortion, gay rights, immigration and more. He boasts strong credentials with the Christian right as well as political convention, according to The New York Times.
Gov. Pence, a sturdy and dependable politician, will likely balance Trump's unpredictable and often controversial approach, however, some Trump followers fear their ideals and values are too different. It remains to be seen what kind of chemistry Trump and Pence will have in the coming days.
Hillary Clinton's campaign reportedly attacked Mr. Pence on Friday as "the most extreme pick in a generation."
Trump, former star of The Celebrity Apprentice, became the presumptive Republican nominee in early May after a decisive victory in the Indiana primary and opponent Senator Ted Cruz suspended his campaign in the presidential race.
