Trump announced on Tuesday he's officially a candidate for the Republican nomination for president, Fox News reported.
"So, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States," The Celebrity Apprentice star and real estate mogul revealed during a 45-minute speech from inside his signature Trump Tower in Manhattan.
"We are going to make our country great again... Sadly the American dream is dead, but if I get elected president I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before."
Trump, 69, has entered the race against 11 other GOP candidates, with nearly a handful of other hopefuls still considering running for the Oval Office.

Trump has teased launching a presidential campaign for almost 30 years but finally followed through with it.
According to Fox News, Trump's speech was very pro-business and pro-military peppered with off-the-cuff humorous remarks.
Trump reportedly vowed to stop the Islamic State, build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, repeal ObamaCare, spend more money on infrastructure, keep Iran from building a nuclear weapon, and repeal President Obama's executive orders on immigration.
"I'm really rich," said Trump, whose estimated net worth is $9 billion. "And that's not bragging. That's the kind of mindset you need... Politicians are all talk and no action. We have losers. We have people who are morally corrupt. We have people who are taking the country down the drain."
Trump has been competitive in early polling and insisted this election is going to be based on "competence."

So what are the implications for Trump's show The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC due to his political decision?
The reality show will be put on hold during Trump's presidential run, TMZ reported, and sources say the next season will not air as to not give Trump disproportionate airtime. Once Trump's campaign wraps, The Celebrity Apprentice will reportedly come back to the network.
NBC announced in February they had decided to renew The Apprentice for a fifteenth season although the series saw a steady decline in ratings in recent years.
Trump, who is currently married to his third wife, has five biological children and seven grandchildren.
