Alex Delgado became the second candidate fired from NBC's non-celebrity revival of The Apprentice during Thursday night's broadcast.

"I think Dave, pretty much for sure, brought me back into the boardroom because we got off on the wrong foot. He put me in a position on this task to fail. I was hoping to escape [but] it didn't happen that way."
Alex was eliminated after his Octane mens team lost the season's second task, which required Octane and the Fortitude womens team to sell ice cream on the streets of New York City.
While Octane recorded a net profit of $1,500 during the two-day task, Fortitude delivered an $1,800 profit. As the winning team's project manager, Poppy Carlig, an unemployed 24-year-old from Richmond, CA, won a private meeting with former General Electric chairman and CEO Jack Welch.
David Johnson, a 34-year-old unemployed salesman from Portage, MI who had served as Octane's project manager, then opted to have Alex and James Weir, an unemployed 31-year-old lawyer from New York, join him in the boardroom for possible firing after accusing them of being poor salesmen.
"I watched the two of them like I was babysitting and it took me away from my task," he told Trump. "Sir, I don't any other choice but to bring them. My other teammates rocked out loud."
While Alex and James both blamed David's poor management for their task loss, James also agreed with David's claim that Alex was the team's weakest overall player.
"Alex, you don't have a a lot of energy, you don't fight back!" Trump said after Alex didn't put up much of a defense to his teammates' accusations.
"The problem that I have though, is that Alex sold the least and Alex just doesn't seem to have the same passion as you two guys -- [so] Alex, you're fired!"
During a post-show update, Alex revealed he found a new job shortly after leaving The Apprentice, which was filmed in May and June.
"I left The Apprentice fired and then walked right into my dream job in construction management," he said. "Going from fired to hired is an awesome feeling. My wife is now sleeping at night and I can enjoy myself in life and enjoy my family."
