While Dog the Bounty Hunter was canceled by A&E after eight seasons in May, Chapman has inked a new deal with CMT for a new tentatively-titled Dog reality series.
Dog, a Kitchen Nightmares-like reality series, will follow Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife Beth Chapman as they travel around the country to help their fellow bail bondsmen and bounty hunters whose businesses are in trouble.
Electus, the show's production company, will begin production on Dog in early 2013 and CMT will premiere its 10-episode first season sometime in the spring or summer.
"This series is a game changer for CMT," network executive Jayson Dinsmore said in a statement. "We were aggressive in our pursuit of a show featuring Dog and Beth, one of the most bankable teams in television history. We couldn't be happier to partner with Electus and Dog and Beth as they move forward on the next chapter."

"Dog and Beth are not only great television characters, they are the best bounty hunters in the world, and this show is a natural evolution of their life story," added Electus CEO Chris Grant. "Electus is thrilled to be partnering with them and with CMT to deliver the next stage of Dog and Beth's adventure."
Dog will feature the Chapmans rebuilding bail bond agencies that are "facing extinction due to bad legislation, untrained or ineffective bounty hunters or just plain bad decisions," according to the network. Dog and Beth will launch a national education and hands-on mission in search of some of the most dangerous fugitives on the streets today.
Dog was created by the Chapman's production company Entertainment By Bonnie and Clyde.
