Duets eliminated Meleana Brown during Wednesday night's performance show, which featured the remaining seven contestants each taking the stage and singing "party songs" with one of the show's four celebrity duet partners.

Meleana was eliminated by Duets celebrity partners and established recording artists John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, and Robin Thicke after she landed in the bottom two on the night's duets score chart and then performed a new "sing for your life" solo song for the show's celebrity judging panel.
"Thank you so much for having me here. It's been such a blessing to be here. Thank you for this opportunity," Meleana said following her ouster.
Meleana was beaten out by fellow bottom-two amateur singer Olivia Chisholm during Duets' second "solo showdown," which featured a cappella performances without backup singers or a band. She sang "Saving All My Love For You" for her "sing for your life" performance while Olivia sang a rendition of "I Can't Make You Love Me."
Meleana and Olivia were forced to sing an additional "survival" song after they received the lowest overall scores of the night from three of the four celebrity partners -- every partner but their own -- when being judged on their duet performance's quality and presentation.

Meleana was paired up with John as one of his two selected duet partners, while Olivia was discovered by and sang with Robin. John was very proud of his partner's progress in the competition and overall talent.
"She's wonderful. She came in at the last minute. She stood in line with all these other auditioners and we picked her because we thought she was beautiful and wonderful and had a great voice and had a lot to offer the show, and I don't regret it for a minute," John explained.
Earlier in the night, Meleana and John took the stage and sang a duet of "Since You Been Gone." Olivia and Robin performed a rendition of "Let's Stay Together" for their duet.
In addition to Meleana and Olivia, Duets' other first-season amateur singers also performed with their celebrity duet partners and were ranked on the score chart from first to seventh place. However, the contestants who finished fifth place or better were ultimately declared safe.
J. Rome topped the night's scoring chart with his partner Jennifer after singing "P.Y.T.," while Bridget Carrington finished in second place for her performance of "Last Dance" alongside John.

John Glosson came in third place after singing "Life Is A Highway" with Jennifer, and Jordan Meredith landed in fourth place on the score chart following her performance of "I Love Rock and Roll" with Kelly. Kelly also took the stage and sang a duet to "Satisfaction" with Jason Farol, who ended up in fifth place on the chart.
Meleana, who performed with John, finished in sixth place. Olivia came in seventh -- and last -- place on the Duets chart after her performance.
