Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko has claimed he only found out that he and supermodel Brooks Nader had broken up when the news made headlines.

"I was surprised to learn through an article published today... that Brooks has ended our relationship," Gleb, 41, told Us Weekly in a statement on Monday, April 7.

A source had told Us earlier this week that Brooks and Gleb broke up several months after rekindling their relationship in December 2024 -- and that Brooks was "the one who ended things" with the pro dancer.

"The last communication I received from her was a text on April 6, asking to speak. I called her today in response, but she has not replied," Gleb shared.

Gleb also revealed that he just saw Brooks, 28, about a week ago.

According to Gleb, everything was fine with the supermodel during their last interaction.

"The last time I saw Brooks was when I traveled to New York to support her and film an episode of her reality show on March 31st and April 1st," Gleb continued, referring to Brooks' upcoming reality show with her sisters Mary Holland Nader, Grace Ann Nader and Sarah Jane Nader.

"And she was sad to see me leave, but I had to return to Dancing with the Stars to finish my four-month tour at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood."

Gleb admitted he is "still processing everything" and doesn't "have all the answers" when it comes to this supposed breakup.

However, Gleb said he wishes Brooks "the best moving forward," regardless of what will come of their relationship.

Gleb and Brooks were reportedly hooking up during Dancing with the Stars' 33rd season but called it quits shortly after they were eliminated from the competition during the show's October 2024 episode.

Gleb then confirmed their relationship was back on in December.

After reviving their romance, Brooks and Gleb enjoyed the holidays together alongside his daughters Olivia, 14, and Zlata, 8, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife Elena Samodanova.

"I don't need anything else," Gleb captioned a family photo that included Brooks via Instagram in December.

Gleb also suggested on social media earlier this year that he could envision himself having a baby with Brooks in the near future.

Gleb insisted in December that his relationship with Brooks was "real" and that the pair weren't "playing games."

But when Brooks was asked if she could see herself being with the professional dancer and choreographer long-term, she told the magazine, "I don't know. He's great."

Brooks explained at the time how her family loved Gleb and he's "so great" with her sisters, especially since she considered her run on Dancing with the Stars to be "a family affair."

But the couple played coy for weeks before going public with their revived romance.

While rehearsing for Dancing with the Stars' November 26 finale, Brooks and Gleb were caught gazing into each other's eyes and kissing on-camera, and at one point, Brooks straddled Gleb and hugged him tightly on the set.

Dancing with the Stars pros Emma Slater and Ezra Sosa posted Gleb and Brooks' flirty content on social media, and even the show's host, Alfonso Ribeiro, joked on November 25 how he couldn't keep up with the pair's "whirlwind" romance and they were driving him "nuts."

When asked to share where their relationship stood after Dancing with the Stars' finale, Gleb told E! News, "It was amazing to be back in the ballroom. I love dancing with Brooks. We have so much fun in the ballroom, outside of the ballroom."

"And that's it," Brooks interjected.

"And that's it," Gleb repeated before flashing a big clueless smile at Brooks, adding how the pair had a great journey on the show.

An insider told Us last year that Gleb was the one who had dumped Brooks the first time, about a week after their Dancing with the Stars elimination aired.

Gleb and the model had alluded to their first breakup via TikTok in late October.

Gleb posted a video on October 25 of himself lip syncing the following lyrics to "God's Plan" by Drake: "She said do you love me / I tell her only partly / I only love my bed and my momma / I'm sorry."

Gleb captioned his post with three lightning emojis as well as a heart-hands emoji.

Several hours later, Brooks took to TikTok and uploaded a video of herself mouthing the lyrics to Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra's "Somethin' Stupid."

"And then I go and spoil it all / By saying something stupid like 'I love you,'" Brooks mouthed.

During the last line, Brooks wrote, "Let's get matching tattoos," and hit herself on the forehead.

Brooks also uploaded the sound of Miles Teller's viral breakup speech from Whiplash, which features a man saying he doesn't have time to date while pursuing other things.

Brooks wrote over the footage, "When he's breaking up with me, but I never knew we were dating."

When Brooks and Gleb were ousted from the Dancing with the Stars competition, Gleb told Brooks, "It was so unexpected. I thought we were going to win. I had a blast working with you. You are super talented and I love you."

Fans naturally lasered in on Gleb's, "I love you," remark at the end of his statement.

During the October 15 episode of Harry Jowsey's "Boyfriend Material" podcast, Harry asked if Gleb was "in love" with the model amid PDA and rumors the pair was just keeping it casual.

The pro dancer and choreographer replied, "I can't hear you, what?... I don't know, maybe."

Gleb explained at the time, "We're just hanging out. We just have a good time. She's amazing. I love being around her. She's got such great energy, great personality. Obviously, super hot."
