Elisabetta Canalis admits she didn't vote for herself and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy to avoid elimination on Dancing with the Stars following Monday night's performance broadcast because she was convinced she was safe.

"Yes, I didn't because I thought I was safe, because it was seven and seven and seven," the Italian model and George Clooney ex-girlfriend said during a Tuesday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"I don't know. You want to know the truth? I was in a restaurant and my phone didn't have battery, so I couldn't call. So my friends were calling, but it was not enough. Don't kill me, okay? It's my fault because I didn't vote the 12 times I had to."
Canalis had received 21 out of 30 possible points for her quickstep from Dancing with the Stars' judges and finished tied for fourth place with three other couples on Monday night's leaderboard.
Chmerkovskiy told host Jimmy Kimmel that while his relationship with Canalis appeared to be rocky because Dancing with the Stars broadcast footage of the pair bickering during rehearsals, they actually got along quite well.

"Of course when we had a little fight, they showed it," Canalis said, confirming they worked well together most of the time.
"We kept it real. We kept it real from the beginning. I think it's part of the process -- the argument, the laughter -- there was a lot of laughter that they didn't show, but anybody who's smiling on camera and says everything's peachy is just lying," Chmerkovskiy explained.
"I'm not a great actor. This is my first season. I didn't really know how to behave. I just behaved naturally the way I was used to teaching, and I was respectful. We got along very well. We got along very well. She's amazing and beautiful and kind."
"It's not easy to teach me how to dance. Trust me," Canalis added jokingly.
Also during the interview, Canalis suggested she had anticipated fellow Dancing with the Stars contestant and legal commentator Nancy Grace's wardrobe malfunction during Monday night's performance show.

"I thought it was going to happen. I knew that she had to do [a dip]," the model said.
In addition, Canalis told Kimmel she doesn't have any specific plans for the near future and hasn't thought about participating in Ballando con le Stelle, the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars.
"We have Dancing with the Stars, but I didn't make any plan, no. I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow... Good Morning America!" Canalis said.
