Emma Slater and her fiance Sasha Farber are really starting to hammer out all of their wedding details.

"It's been a year since we've been engaged and now we're getting into crunch time with wedding planning and everything," Emma, 28, told Us Weekly on Thursday.

"When you arrange a wedding, you realize if you've got what it takes to survive marriage and we have and this is really fun for us, is creating this special day."

Sasha has found throughout the process it's better to keep opinions to himself and simply nod his head when the bride makes requests.

"I've learned one thing... 'Yes. That's what I've learned," Sasha, 33, told the magazine. "When Emma's like, 'Baby, what do you think of this color? Tell me what color you like.' I'm like, 'I like light blue.' And she's like, 'Yeah, what about light gold?' And I'm like, 'Yes, I love gold.'"

The Dancing with the Stars couple apparently want their wedding to be a fun-filled extravaganza rather than a romantic and intimate setting with all eyes on them the entire time.

"We want to put a lot of emphasis into the entertainment," Emma explained. "I really want our guests to leave going, 'Oh my god. That's not what I expected at all.' We really want to have some sort of surprises."

Sasha added, "It's going to be one of those weddings where we want surprises every 10 to 15 minutes for the guests."

Emma elaborated to Us, "Like a show!"

Emma views her nuptials as a big celebration for family and friends.

"We want them to be like, 'Oh, this isn't just a DJ! Oh my god, this is a show' and 'This person's going to come out!' and 'These dancers are going to appear!' It's going to be so much fun," Emma revealed, adding that the pair are going to have "a pretty crazy first dance."

The couple dated on and off from 2011 to 2015, and in December 2015, Sasha confirmed he was back on with Emma.

Sasha later proposed to the blonde beauty on October 4, 2016 during a live Dancing with the Stars results show after they performed a romantic routine together.

Emma and Sasha have yet to reveal their wedding date -- if they've even set one yet -- but Emma seems a little more focused on the smaller details as of currently.

"As long as I get lifted up in the chair!" Emma gushed. "I said, 'Listen, I can't wait to do...' I'm not Jewish, but Sasha's been teaching me more about the traditions and I just want to get lifted up in the chair and sing Hava Nagila."

The pair also have every intention of inviting most of their fellow Dancing with the Stars cast members to their big day, which will be in Los Angeles.

"We were looking at the list, it looks like kind of a wrap party to me," Emma noted. "I was like, 'Oh, we'll just invite everyone from the wrap party.'"

As for whether kids are in their near future, Sasha admitted, "I would be a dad tomorrow if I could," but Emma told the magazine she'd like to wait a year or two before starting a family.

"You'd be a great dad. He'd be really, really awesome. Yes, but not straight after, right?" Emma asked.

"Not straight after," Sasha replied.

For Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars, which just wrapped last month, Emma and Property Brothers star Drew Scott finished in fourth place. Sasha danced as a member of the show's Troupe all season.
