After being nominated for eviction by Robert Roman, the ninth Head of Household, polka dot bikini-wearing Erika Landin was evicted from the "Big Brother 4" house by Alison Irwin, the one remaining Houseguest who was able to vote. Alison, who was originally on the nomination block, was able to save herself when she won the last Power of Veto competition. Roberts only choice was to put his ex, Erika, on the block with Jun Song.

After Alison voted live during the broadcast, Erika learned her fate, said her good-byes and left the house. After leaving "Big Brother 4," she was interviewed by Julie Chen about her experience.

The HouseGuests compete each Wednesday to become Head of Household. The perks of the position include having a luxurious private bedroom stocked with favorite foods, but it also includes the responsibility of having to nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. However, one of the nominees can be saved from the chopping block if they or another housemate wins the Power of Veto competition and chooses to save one of the nominees while giving themselves immunity from nomination. If they choose to use the veto power, the Head of Household must immediately choose another nominee.
