Apparently the executives over at ESPN weren't watching last fall when NBC premiered its 'Lost' reality TV show. Then again, given the ratings, apparently no one was watching.

Seemingly oblivious NBC's failure with the concept, Zap2It.com reports that ESPN is making its first foray into reality programming with "Beg, Borrow & Deal," which will premiere in September. Two teams of four people will be dropped off in New York City with no money and no transportation. They then have to make their way to Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, completing a series of sports-related challenges along the way.
The teams will be able to choose 10 tasks to complete from a list of 40, including driving the Zamboni between periods of a hockey game, catching a pass from an NFL quarterback and singing the national anthem before a pro baseball game. The winners will receive all-expenses-paid trips to four major sports championships.
