Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek claims he has no regrets about his Footloose-inspired freestyle routine with professional partner Anna Trebunskaya -- even though it may have cost them a shot at Dancing with the Stars' tenth-season title.

"We would do it exactly the same if we could do it over," Lysacek told E! News on Tuesday morning. "When it was over, I think we were both really satisfied because we couldn't have done it any better."
Lysacek and Trebunskaya's freestyle routine was largely panned by Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, with Inaba stating it looked a bit "odd" and Goodman feeling the couple had compromised their ideas and "took the path of least resistance" after disagreeing about what to perform.
"If they didn't like it, I'm cool with that," Lysacek told E! News.
"Anytime you put your heart and soul in something and people criticize it, it doesn't feel good, but at the same time, we were so happy with it.

Lysacek and Trebunskaya finished in last place with 52 out of 60 possible points heading into tonight's live Dancing with the Stars tenth-season finale and have a large hill to climb -- however Lysacek is "excited" the couple has "gotten this far."
"What I said coming into this competition is, regardless of what anyone says -- I did not know how to dance," he told E! News.
"My motives for doing the show were really simple and honest: I wanted to do something fun and I wanted to dance. At this point I feel like: mission accomplished."
Lysacek and Trebunskaya are competing for the tenth-season mirror ball trophy against Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger and her partner Derek Hough and ESPN reporter Erin Andrews her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- both of whom finished tied for first place with 55 out of 60 possible points.
"At this point, the votes are in and it's down to the judges' decisions," Lysacek told E! News.

"Nicole brings to this competition absolute perfection and a very extensive knowledge of dance. Erin is so different, she has a gorgeous, amazing body, but she's so real and the connection she has with Maks is great."
Lysacek was also asked about Kate Gosselin's "high-wire act" that ABC has been teasing she'll perform during tonight's finale.
"Yes, it's awesome!" he told E! News.
"I don't know if it's going to be crazy as much as funny. We all fell in love with her on the show because she's the sweetest, goofiest, most caring person in the world."
