Tila Tequila has reportedly filed a lawsuit against NFL star and former boyfriend Shawne Merriman after she previously alleged he choked and threw her to the ground during a September altercation.

The lawsuit includes photos of bruises on Tequila's arms -- which she claims came from Merriman -- as well as photos of the reality star and NFL linebacker that highlight their height and weight discrepancies.
In addition, the lawsuit states Merriman had a bad temper, a drug problem, and humiliated Tequila because she is a bi-sexual, TMZ reported.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and was filed by her lawyer, Cyrus Nownejad.
The incident occurred around 3:45AM on September 6 when deputies responded to Merriman's Poway, CA house after a woman called to say she was choked by the San Diego Chargers linebacker and thrown to the ground by him when she tried to leave. The altercation allegedly occurred after Merriman and Tequila attended a Saturday night party at San Diego nightclub Stingaree.
Tequila subsequently signed a citizen's arrest warrant and accused Merriman of choking her and refusing to let her leave his house, and he was arrested and charged with battery and false imprisonment -- both of which are felonies.
Merriman denied Tequila's allegations and instead claimed that the alleged altercation stemmed from his attempts to prevent her from driving under the influence of alcohol. Sheriff's Department spokesman Jan Caldwell also stated authorities had determined that Tequila had been drinking prior to the incident.
San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis eventually dismissed the charges against Merriman.
"After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009, incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed," Dumanis said in a statement at the time.
"This case is now closed. No further comment will be made."
