When former Extreme Makeover dentist Dr. Bill Dorfman learned his wife, former The Apprentice candidate Jennifer Murphy, had filed for divorce from him, it was apparently just as painful as having teeth pulled.

"You're source is wrong! My wife did not file for divorce," Dorfman reportedly told TMZ. But the website had obtained a copy of the divorce petition filed by Murphy before Dorfman even knew it existed. "She filed?" he reportedly asked TMZ before getting off the phone "quickly" because he was "obviously upset."
According to a TMZ source, Murphy -- apparently completely ignorant of how the court system works -- was unaware her divorce petition would be made public immediately and had planned to meet with her husband Tuesday night to "talk about things." However TMZ got to Dorfman first, which according to the source, made Murphy feel "terrible" although "he knew it was coming."
Murphy, a 28-year-old former Miss Oregon who appeared on The Apprentice's Fall 2005 fourth edition, and Dorfman, a 48-year-old dentist who appeared in several episodes of ABC's Extreme Makeover, were married last July in a non-denominational ceremony that took place at Donald Trump's Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles.
The couple first met when Dorfman -- who shouldn't be confused with Garth Fisher, the recently re-married former Extreme Makeover plastic surgeon that was previously married to Rock Star hostess Brooke Burke -- attended the 2004 Miss USA pageant in which Murphy was competing. Despite their 2004 meeting, they reportedly only began dating a year later when Discus Dental, Dorfman's company, hired Murphy for a teeth whitening ad. The couple got engaged in December 2005.
Murphy -- who Trump once called "one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen" -- was eliminated from The Apprentice 4 when, following an Episode 6 loss that represented the most lopsided task defeat in show history, Trump fired four members of the losing team.
