Wes Hayden hopes Jake Pavelka finds love as The Bachelor's upcoming star, however he thinks it's highly unlikely.

"I hope he finds somebody and gets married because that show is full of s--t. One marriage in 18 seasons? I mean, come on!" Hayden told Us Weekly at Tuesday's taping of Fox Reality Channel's Reality Awards in Los Angeles.

"[It's] absolutely impossible to find love [on the show]."

ABC has aired 13 The Bachelor installments since it premiered in 2002 and five The Bachelorette editions since it made its debut in 2003 -- and both series have only produced one marriage, when The Bachelorette first-season star Trista Rehn wed selected suitor Ryan Sutter in December 2003.

However Hayden is even skeptical that marriage was the result of the long-running reality dating series.

"Look, love is a decision. You decide to love somebody, and it doesn't happen overnight and that's what they are trying to do," he told Us.

"That's why there has never been a marriage except for Ryan and Trista, and I heard they were already a couple before the show started. That's what I heard from the past contestants when I was off the show."

Trista immediately denied Hayden's allegation.

"Ok seriously, Wes? On usmagazine.com, he said Ryan & I were [together before] the show. Poor boy. Makin up stories [to] stay in the press," she wrote Wednesday on her Twitter account.

"Wes, if I'd met Ryan [before] I was the Bachelorette, I wouldn't have had a reason [to] do it. Believe our love is real or not, I could care less... but don't go spreadin rumors re the show, just [to] keep [your] face out there. 6 wks or 10 yrs, it makes no diff...u know when u know & we knew."

Since Hayden appeared as one of Jillian Harris' suitors during The Bachelorette's fifth season earlier this year, he claims to know firsthand how tough it is to make a love connection on the show.

"Call me old fashioned and say that my moral compass is off, but is it okay for one woman to make out with 30 guys and in eight weeks dwindle it down to someone she is going to spend the rest of her life with?" he asked Us.

Hayden's claims that the ABC reality franchise is "full of s--t" aren't surprising given the way his own The Bachelorette experience ended.

After Pavelka was rejected by Harris right before the hometown dates, he returned to the show in an attempt warn her about Hayden -- whom he claimed had a girlfriend back home. 

Hayden denied the accusations when confronted by Harris and Pavelka, but he still didn't last much longer on the show. Both Hayden and the alleged girlfriend -- Laurel Kagay -- subsequently denied they were in a relationship during filming.

"I saw one episode, and it was the very first one, and I was so upset that I didn't watch any other episodes," he told Us, adding he didn't want to do the show in the first place.

"In all honesty, my 17-year-old sister signed me up for the show, and I did it for her basically. I fell into something bigger than me that I didn't know anything about."

For what it's worth, Hayden gave his blessing to Harris and her selected suitor Ed Swiderski -- who recently moved in together in Chicago -- but still expressed skepticism that the relationship will work.

"I love Jillian and I talk to her all the time on Facebook still," Hayden told Us. "If she gets married and has lots of babies and lives the American Dream, great. But honestly, I don't think that is going to happen."
