Molecular gastronomy couldn't help Marcel Vigneron get out of the hot water he apparently found himself in over the weekend.

Vigneron was initially stopped near Vista Del Sol road at 12:45AM for speeding after he reportedly attended a benefit gala on Saturday night, according to Laguna Beach police records obtained by the newspaper.
An officer eventually administered a blood test after noticing Vigneron might have been under the influence of alcohol, Laguna Beach Police Department Sgt. Jason Kravetz told The Register.
He subsequently registered higher than the state's legal limit of 0.08, was arrested and had bail set at $2,500.
The 28-year-old Las Vegas resident was in the Laguna Beach area to give a cooking demonstration at the Festival of Arts on Sunday, according to The Register, which added he still made his appearance despite the arrest.
Kravetz told The Register Vigneron can still drive despite the DUI arrest and has 30 days to notify Nevada's Department of Motor Vehicles about the incident.
