David O'Leary and Connor O'Leary were eliminated from The Amazing Race during Sunday night's fifth broadcast of the CBS reality competition's 22nd season.

The "Father and Son" team were forced to withdraw from The Amazing Race due to injury and formally eliminated from the around-the-world competition by host Phil Keoghan after they went directly to the Race's fourth Pit Stop at the Vietnam National Museum of History without having completed any of the leg's tasks along the way.

Dave and Connor's decision to withdraw from the Race ultimately prevented the elimination of "Married Couple" Chuck McCall and Wynona McCall, who subsequently finished the fourth leg in last place.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Monday, Dave and Connor talked about their The Amazing Race experience and the injury that got in their way. Below is the concluding portion of their interview. Click here to read the first half.

Reality TV World: Were you surprised Jessica Hoel and John Erck ended up honoring their word and giving you guys their extra Express Pass? Were you kind of skeptical at the time they'd follow through with the pact?

Connor O'Leary: Yeah, I mean, I was very skeptical, especially after that first conversation we had where John put in a bunch of clauses about, "Well, if another team hears, then the contract is null and void."

David O'Leary: Before we started in Bali, that was the second leg.

Connor O'Leary: And you know, I think us getting hurt made it easy for them to make that decision because they saw us as less of a threat, like, "Oh well these guys aren't going far, so we're going to give them the Express Pass." So yeah, I think the injury really played into them giving it to us. Who knows if they would've if we didn't get injured.

Reality TV World: It became obvious during last night's broadcast that all the teams were in a big alliance except for Mona Egender and Beth Bandimere and Joey Graceffa and Meghan Camarena -- who had formed a small alliance of their own. Do you think you were considered a part of that majority alliance, and if so, had you still been in the Race, do you think you would've been onboard with U-Turning Mona and Beth or Joey and Meghan as well or would you have opted to U-Turn no one?

Connor O'Leary: You know, it's just so hard to say. We definitely weren't in any alliance with the YouTubers or Mona and Beth. They had their John, Jessica alliance going. And so, we probably would've been on, who knows, but we probably would've been a part of the other alliance. But we really just tried to run our own race, honestly. I mean, yeah, it really is tough to say.

Reality TV World: What did you think about Joey and Meghan U-Turning Chuck and Wynona? While watching the episode, did that surprise you? Do you think they had made a good choice?

Connor O'Leary: Yeah, it really surprised me. I mean, they were in last place. It seemed like they're one of the weaker teams at this point and so it was surprising when they know that there's a team on their heels and they decide to U-Turn Chuck and Wynona. It didn't make sense to me, but.

David O'Leary: It doesn't make sense to me either, especially when you know there will probably be an opportunity in the future to U-Turn someone who may have been a stronger competitor.

Reality TV World: It sounds like you guys thought last night's leg was pretty easy for the most part. Reflecting on the Roadblock of the Vietnamese dancers and the cooking and chess Detour tasks, how do you think you would've done? Do you think you would've brought any particular strengths or weaknesses to any of those challenges?

Connor O'Leary: I think my dad could've knocked out the memorization on the dancing Roadblock very well. He's really good at stuff like that. And I think we could've, honestly, done fairly well.

David O'Leary: I think we could've hobbled through the bamboo jump.

Connor O'Leary: Yeah. So I think it's disappointing, but that's life and you just never know. You never know what they're going to throw at you.

Reality TV World: Do you think you would've done better at the cooking or chess Detour task based upon what you saw?

Connor O'Leary: Probably the chess, honestly. I think that's what we would've chosen.

David O'Leary: Either [that] or carrying chickens and stuff when you're on crutches. (Laughs)

Reality TV World: Yes, that would've been difficult. (Laughs) Connor, during the prior leg, you and Dave won because you had basically peeked at Winnie Sung's surfboard when she was trying to find host Phil Keoghan. You then picked up the correct board with the photo of the Tahitian priest on it and found your way to the Pit Stop before Winnie and Pamela Chien could. Some fans are saying they consider that cheating. I want to give you a chance to address that. Looking back, do you feel it was bad sportsmanship at all?

Connor O'Leary: You know, she didn't try to hide her board at all. And so, I mean, I guess I can see where people are coming from. But at the moment, I didn't feel like that was cheating at all. Her board was right out in front of my face, and so I looked at it.

David O'Leary: And really, if she thought Connor knew where Phil was, she would've followed him. If someone's ahead of you and you know they know where they're going, of course you follow them! I mean, everyone did it in New Zealand.

Connor O'Leary: Right. When she said to me, "I'll tell you if you let me come in first," that just wasn't even an option for me. I wasn't going to sit back and take second. I was either going to win the leg or take second anyway probably. So, yeah.

Reality TV World: Connor, had you not have peaked at Winnie's surfboard, do you think you would've seen the photo of the Tahitian priest and knew immediately it was what you were looking for?

Connor O'Leary: Yeah, you know what? I would have. Because I saw it and I saw the priest, and I hadn't seen a priest on any of the surfboards that I had already looked at. So, once I saw the priest on the surfboard, I recognized it and I just went with it.

David O'Leary: Unfortunately, we had to make two trips up to see that priest, so it was a pretty fresh memory for us.

Reality TV World: Out of all the teams, who would you say you were closest with on the Race?

Connor O'Leary: We really got along with the "Roller Derby Moms" [Mona and Beth]. Everybody was so great. We got along with them, the country girls [Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Kuhle]. Yeah, it was a good group and I really feel like we didn't have too many enemies, honestly.

David O'Leary: I felt like we got along well with everyone and we liked everyone. I'm not sure what they thought about us, but we liked the other teams, and when we got a chance to be together with them, it was really a -- we had a lot of fun conversations. They were all good people.

Reality TV World: Who was your toughest competition?

Connor O'Leary: Toughest competition, what do you think dad?

David O'Leary: We thought John and Jessica were really tough competitors. They were in it to win and John made that clear from the very outset, and so, I think we thought they would be tough competitors. But I think Winnie and Pam were really smart about some of the choices they made and we thought they would be competitive.

Chuck and Wynona made it to the airport first in Los Angeles. They proved that they could be tough competitors, so I think this is anyone's game. And we hopefully could've gone forward without being injured, but you never know what's going to happen to foul you up and cause you to be eliminated. So we could've been next anyway.

Reality TV World: You two had a very emotional departure from the show and it's clear you've inspired many fans. And Dave, your medical injury is similar to what often happens in Survivor, when castaways get medically evacuated but then get a second chance when they're brought back to play again. Do you think there's a good shot that might happen for you two -- that The Amazing Race will let you compete in either a regular or all-star version in the near future? And if so, what are your thoughts on that, is that something you'd both be interested in?

David O'Leary: Oh, we would be so interested! (Laughs)

Connor O'Leary: Yeah, we would love to do it again! It was an amazing experience and if we do get the opportunity, then we would jump at it. We would make it happen.
