The Amazing Race eliminated Nicole "Nicky" Getz and Kim DeJesus during Sunday night's eighth broadcast of the CBS reality competition's 23rd season.

The "Baseball Wives" became the sixth team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's eighth Pit Stop at the top of Jebel Hafeet in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates in last place. The two girls had been lucky enough to be saved twice in the competition via two separate non-elimination legs but also faced some bad luck along the way.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Monday, Nicky and Kim talked about their The Amazing Race experience. Below is the concluding portion of their interview. Click here to read the first half.

Reality TV World: You girls clearly got your ATV stuck in the sand. How did that happen, like did you kind of lose control of the steering or something? And how long did you spend trying to dig it out before you were given a new vehicle?

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: That's funny.

Kim DeJesus: That was stressful! It's so difficult because we were going like, you know, pedal down all the way, and you're going so fast but like the ATV's kind of like sideways, so you don't know if you should be going down or flip it. And so I think when we got stuck, it was just because of [that].

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: We were loud! We couldn't hear anything. I was like, "Stop, stop, stop!" I couldn't even hear myself talk.

Reality TV World: Why did you decide to do the "Wedding Guests" Detour task instead of the "Beauty Contest" one in the first place? It seemed like most of the girls wanted to do the beauty one right off the bat.

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: Yeah, because we're not really pageant girls, so we weren't confident (laughs) with our ability to dress up a camel. No actually, from watching the Race, I just feel like you don't really want to depend on an animal because you just don't know what they're going to do.

And so that was like my first gut instinct when we got to that Detour. And then we decided to do the wedding soup, and I think that one was just more time consuming.

Kim DeJesus: It was, but it didn't end up mattering, because we had to do both, but.

Reality TV World: How long did it actually take you to complete the "Wedding Guests" Detour task? Obviously it didn't take 15 minutes like Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran told you it did.

Kim DeJesus: An hour.

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: I would say that too, like an hour.

Kim DeJesus: The camel one took us like 15 minutes. (Laughs) I know they didn't show this on TV, but we named our camel "Molly" and we kept talking to her. They didn't show it but it was really funny.

Reality TV World: What went through your minds when you realized Leo and Jamal had lied to you about the wedding task being easy and only taking 15 minutes to basically complete? Did you have a negative opinion of the guys before that, and if so, did it worsen in that moment?

Kim DeJesus: I don't think we really had negative feelings about anybody. We were just trying to run our own race. And when they said that, we were like, "Dude, you guys, why are you lying? Who cares. We're going to have to do this stupid challenge anyway! So you telling us it takes an hour or you telling us it takes 15 minutes, it's a stupid lie."

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: Yeah, the one thing I found was, sometimes I didn't understand the point of them lying. But I mean, at the end of the day, I guess us asking how long it takes didn't really matter.

Kim DeJesus: And Leo texted me after the Race and he was like, "I wish we helped you guys more!" So I think they know we were nice girls and we got along with them, and I think they were just trying to win.

Reality TV World: Nicole Jasper and Travis Jasper said they had decided to U-Turn Leo and Jamal because the guys had lied to them about previously U-Turning Brandon Squyres and Adam Switzer. What are your thoughts on that? Do you think it was information Leo and Jamal should've been honest about, or given you just said it's a race they were trying to win, do you not see the big deal in Jamal and Leo trying to conceal that detail?

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: I think, I mean, I didn't really understand the reason why they said that to the doctors. I guess I do kind of understand, because they didn't want people to know they used their U-Turn, so it kind of makes sense, but I also feel like -- I think everyone already knew they had U-Turned them.

So yeah, I don't know, sometimes you have to make these decisions pretty quickly about what you're going to say, and Kim and I always just wanted to be fair and be honest and race the Race in a way we were going to be proud of. So we wouldn't have lied, but maybe their plan was a little bit different than ours.

Reality TV World: Nicole and Travis have been proud of the way they've also been running an honest Race, especially when comparing themselves to Leo and Jamal's strategy. However, a preview for next week's episode shows Nicole trying to cheat -- if you consider it cheating -- during a Roadblock task by trying to copy Leo's work when he seemed finished. Do you think Nicole's move would be pushing the boundaries of what's considered ethical during the Race or fair game?

Kim DeJesus: I don't know! I'm excited to watch next week's episode and see what happens. I do think a lot of things can be fair game on the Race though.

Reality TV World: Allison "Ally" Mello and Ashley Covert obviously teamed up with Leo and Jamal for most of the Race as their "Race wives." The girls have made it far in the season, so how much of their success would you attribute to the guys assisting them? I'm curious because when I spoke with Tim Wiyninger and Daniel "Danny" Merkey, they thought Leo and Jamal kind of held the girls back since they had a pretty negative reputation and that kind of carried over to the girls, making them unpopular as well with some of the other teams.

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: I kind of agree with the guys that it might've held them back, you know, just in terms of popularity. But I think, I mean, throughout the Race, just watching them, they definitely got a lot of help from the Afghanimals. I thought it was a good strategy for them.

Reality TV World: You girls had to complete the Speed Bump task in which you swam in that wave pool. It seemed like you two had a tough time with that, and Kim, you were especially scared. Did it take you awhile to get across the pool and what was the scariest part for you?

Kim DeJesus: (Laughs)

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: (Laughs) I think my three-year-old son could've done that, but Kim was really scared.

Kim DeJesus: Dude, I'm like so scared of heights, and I was so scared of [jumping off] the wall. I saw the waves crashing and I was like, "Dude, my head is going to smash into that thing." And so, I was definitely scared, but I will say I faced a lot of fears in the Race as far as heights. But I never felt like I really took that long [to do something].

I'd be like, "Okay," I'd be scared for awhile, but then I'd just get over it. It's not like I was standing there for 20 minutes or something -- or even five minutes. I was able to overcome [my fear] and just do it. So I definitely think they caught the times when I was freaking out the most, but it was really scary! (Laughs)

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: My favorite part is at the very beginning of us racing, Kim told me, "I always need positive reinforcement." And so, when we got to the Race, I was doing my usual, "Kim, you can do this! You can do this!" The pep talk really helped her. So, I think she did pretty well. All she needed was for someone to be like, "You can do this," and she was like, "You're right. I can do it." So do it!

Kim DeJesus: Aww, thanks Bunny!

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: Yeah! Although they show Kim crying in some episodes and freaking out kind of, it's always for the shortest amount of time and then she goes for it. So, I mean, it really didn't hold us back at all.  

Reality TV World: How were you cast on The Amazing Race? How did you end up on the show?

Kim DeJesus: Because of our beauteous looks and our strong arms! (Laughs)

Nicole "Nicky" Getz: It may or may not have something to do with our husbands [Kansas City Royals' Chris Getz and the Tampa Bay Rays' David DeJesus].

Reality TV World: Kind of figured that. (Laughs)

Kim DeJesus: Yeah, I think they found us through Facebook. So they reached out to us. We had always been fans of the show, so when they reached out to us, we were like, "Oh this could really be a great opportunity!"
