Survivor: Kaoh Rong -- Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty's new Gondol tribe voted out former Brains castaway Peter Baggenstos during Wednesday night's broadcast on CBS.

After Gondol lost the Immunity Challenge, its members voted out Peter, a 34-year-old ER doctor from Minneapolis, MN, on Night 16 at the game's sixth Tribal Council session. Due to Caleb Reynolds' medical evacuation, Peter became the seventh person to leave the game but only the sixth person voted out.

Peter wasn't the most popular guy on the island. In fact, he admitted he was surprised watching the season back and seeing how much his tribemates disliked him and trashed him behind his back.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Thursday, Peter talked about his Survivor experience. Below is some of what he had to say. To read his reaction to arrogance accusations, click here. 

Reality TV World: Why were the Brains so confident they had control over the game, because unless you were absolutely convinced you had Scot Pollard, the vote could come down to a tie -- three against three at Tribal. Were you just sure Scot wasn't going to take that chance?

Peter Baggenstos: Leading up to that Tribal, from my standpoint, I was trying to not go with the Brains, but no one would work with me. So, by default, that was the best option, a three-three try. So, I mean, I just had no out.

Reality TV World: After the Immunity Challenge, was your initial plan to vote out [Aubry Bracco] until [Joseph "Joe" Del Campo] made amends with you? And if so, it just sounds like no one in Scot's alliance was willing to work with you.

Peter Baggenstos: Yeah, I mean, I tried. I schemed against Joe and Aubry, but everyone would go and tell Aubry right off the bat, so at the end, Joe and I were on better terms.

And I was honest on-camera, it wasn't shown, but I was like, "Joe, I tried to get you guys out but it wasn't working. Let's just try to work together. We've got the numbers, let's go for it." And, I mean, what else did I have? If I told [Tai Trang], he'd tell Aubry and Joe, and you know, I had nothing.

Reality TV World: So your talk with Joe in the water didn't play much of a role in you deciding to stick with the Brains? He obviously tried to patch things up with you.

Peter Baggenstos: Yeah, we did! And he didn't end up voting for me; It was Aubry. For me, I was in the position where I was just grasping at nothing.

Reality TV World: Going into Tribal Council, what exactly did you think was going to unfold? And because there were so many side conversations and whispers from your tribemates at Tribal, how did that affect your confidence in that plan?

Peter Baggenstos: Going into Tribal, I figured it was me. As far as the side conversations, Scot did mention possibly taking Joe out last minute, but I was sticking to the plan I had with Joe because we did have a falling out and then we came together. And, you know, it didn't work out. But Tribal was all over the place!

Reality TV World: So it sounds like you definitely weren't blindsided by your vote-off?

Peter Baggenstos: Not at all, no.

Reality TV World: Why do you think Aubry ultimately decided to go against Joe and vote you out when it's potentially three against two Brains going forward now? She even noted herself that Scot would probably choose to work with Tai and Julia if one of the Brains was voted off. Do you think she anticipated the merge coming up?

Peter Baggenstos: At the end, they showed a scene where they told Aubry I was trying to vote her out and she just got shaken. She just went [with a vote] contrary to what her gut [told her] and voted me out.

Reality TV World: Okay, so you think it was mainly paranoia behind her choice to get rid of you?

Peter Baggenstos: Oh yeah.

Reality TV World: Do you think Aubry's decision is going to affect her relationship with Joe going forward, if you were to guess?

Peter Baggenstos: Joe was well known to be a goat. Everyone wanted him to go forward because he wasn't going to win any Individual Immunities, so Joe made people feel -- before he was even out on the beach -- that he was someone that everyone wanted to keep around.

Reality TV World: I know you said while you were in the game, you thought there was no chance of Tai, Scot and Julia Sokolowski working with you. But after watching last night's episode, there was a moment when Scot seemed disappointed you changed your mind. Do you think the vote was always between you and Julia -- or that they were actually considering Aubry or Joe at one point?

Peter Baggenstos: If they would've walked up to me one time and said they wanted to take out Aubry or Joe -- just once -- I would've said, "Yes!" But they didn't.

Reality TV World: Do you think Aubry crossed Julia's name out when she was casting her vote at Tribal because she sincerely changed her mind at the last minute or do you think she just wanted to make a statement of some kind?

Peter Baggenstos: No, I think she sincerely changed her mind. At least that's what I believe.

Reality TV World: Do you wish you had worked to bond with Aubry more or make amends with her like Joe did with you? Because I feel like if you made more of an effort to make her feel comfortable and convince her you were trustworthy, you would've stuck around.

Peter Baggenstos: You know what? At the end, we did have a moment where I thought we had a sincere heart-to-heart. We still talk about it now. So, you know, I did try to have a side conversation with her, and I convinced myself that it worked. It was sincere from my side.

Reality TV World: Right after you got voted out at Tribal, did you think Aubry or Joe had been the one to betray you?

Peter Baggenstos: I thought it was Joe! Because Joe would call me "Pete" and it said Pete on [one of the votes]. And I was surprised watching that it was Aubry. She never said anything (laughs) until now.

Reality TV World: At the moment of your exit, which castaway did you assume would be the next target -- if the merge wasn't coming up?

Peter Baggenstos: Joe. Because he was pissing everyone else off at camp.

Reality TV World: Is it true he did little to help around camp or were you just trying to throw him under the bus so people would vote for him?

Peter Baggenstos: He was eating food.
