Survivor: San Juan del Sur -- Blood vs. Water's merged Huyopa tribe eliminated Alec Christy and Reed Kelly during Wednesday night's two-episode special of the CBS reality competition's 29th season.

Alec, a 22-year-old student from Winter Park, FL, was voted out at the season's eleventh Tribal Council session.

Alec had been an obvious outsider of the main alliance and became an even bigger target than Keith Nale after Natalie Anderson determined she could use Keith to win against Jon Misch in Individual Immunity Challenges and also vote Jon out with her. Alec's loved one Drew Christy had been voted out of the game very early on, on Night 10.

In an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Thursday, Alec talked about his Survivor experience. Below is the first half. Check back with us soon for the concluding portion.

Reality TV World: Did you go into Tribal expecting to be the one voted off or did you think there was a chance it was going to be someone else?

Alec Christy: I knew that it was either me or Keith, and with how conservative that group of five had been playing -- being Jon, [Jaclyn Schultz], [Missy Payne], [Baylor Wilson], and Natalie -- they were chopping us down one by one, and I knew it was either going to be Keith or myself. Even though Nat had a plan to get Jon out, that folded when he won immunity, so I knew I was in trouble.

I was hoping that they were going to axe Keith because he had been doing a lot better in the challenges, and I tried to throw that pitch of, "He's going to beat you guys." But yeah, I definitely wasn't shocked or blindsided at all, you know? I knew my name was going to get written down for the first time, but I knew that I was going to get votes that night and possibly be going home.

Reality TV World: What was your relationship with Natalie like out there and what's your theory on why she targeted you instead of Keith?

Alec Christy: So Natalie was supposed to vote for Keith and she flipped it to vote me out because Natalie knew that I had been trying to work with Jon and that I probably had a better chance to do that than Keith did.

So, Natalie kind of didn't want the game to leave her control and so she flipped to get me out because she knew I was probably more of a wild card than Keith, and Keith would maybe be a little bit easier to control and manipulate to get him to vote the way she wanted him to.

So, I had a good relationship out there with Natalie. I kind of overlooked it to the point where I shouldn't have, when she came up to me and was like, "Hey, we're voting for the singles. We need to do this," and I felt like I had a gameplan that didn't involve her at the time. And obviously that gameplan didn't work, but you know, I had a good relationship with Natalie out there and I still do.

Reality TV World: You were shown at the beginning of last night's episode saying you didn't trust Reed at all. Could you elaborate on that more? What's your reasoning?

Alec Christy: It was just that Reed was constantly scheming. Reed had some plays with, you know, he was just doing what he had to do. He told people that I had the Immunity Idol one time. I definitely never had the idol.

Reed was just really, really playing the game. And people that are really, really playing the game are sometimes hard to trust, especially being in the position that Reed was. Reed would do anything that he had to do to keep playing. And so, I just knew that. And when you'll do anything, it's hard to trust somebody like that -- that will just do whatever they gotta do.

And I'm the same way though, so I think there's definitely a reason why I said, "I don't trust Reed." Reed had been trying to make big moves like three weeks in a row completely out of the blue, just pulling something out of a hat. And, you know, it wouldn't hurt to keep playing with Reed, but I didn't trust him.

Reality TV World: When Wes Nale was voted off, did you believe Jon's claim that he was going to play his hidden Immunity Idol all along, or do you think he only played it because Natalie told him to do so?

Alec Christy: Oh, absolutely not! Jon was not going to play that idol. That is bogus. I can't believe he would say that. He was not going to play it. We were going to get him out and thank God for Natalie that he played it. But no, I did not believe that for one second. I think he was going home had Natalie not said something.

Reality TV World: Last night's episode showed you all openly blaming Keith for the fact your plan to vote Jon out didn't work. But all we saw at Tribal Council was Keith saying, "Stick with the plan," in Reed's direction. Was that really the big revealing comment or was there something else said?

Alec Christy: Absolutely, I think it was. We were supposed to be voting Keith out, you know, Reed was going to write Keith's name down. And so, we were trying to swing this alliance to believe Reed and I are going with them and we're going to get Keith out, and so in doing that, you're probably not going to have a plan with the guy you're voting out.

And so, whenever Keith looked across past Jon and pointed at Reed and said, "Reed, stick to the plan." That just threw a giant wrinkle in our plan because it kind of gave us away. Natalie knew we were lying after that and she told Jon to play the idol. So, yes, absolutely that messed our game up. Period.

Reality TV World: Natalie said she thought Jon was obsessed with being the mastermind behind everything. Did you agree with that? What was your opinion of Jon?

Alec Christy: I thought Jon was a good guy. Jon was really, it seemed like, conservative and considerate. And yeah, he was playing Survivor, man. You gotta make decisions that sometimes are tough. Sometimes you have to risk it for the biscuit -- (laughs) as Wes said. And, you know, I didn't really see a lot of that.

He was conservative, but at the same time, maybe that was his gameplan -- to be all conservative but secretly have it all figured out. But, you know, I kind of told Jon, "You really need to start playing." He got so comfortable with some of those girls in his alliance. So, my opinion, it's not that he wasn't a good guy, but it just seemed like he was almost a little bit of a pansy and he needed to sack up a little bit.

Reality TV World: I wanted to ask you about your own relationships with a couple of the girls in Jon's alliance, particularly Jon and Baylor. It seemed like there was some flirting going on with both of them.

Alec Christy: At that point in the game, I knew that I was kind of in trouble, and I probably flirted with Jaclyn since Day 1. I don't know. (Laughs) I mean, who knows. But I definitely had a good relationship with them. They were kind of like my last hopes, like, "Okay, I need Baylor or Jaclyn or both."

And so, however I could make something happen with that, I was trying. And so, flirting and doing my thing just kind of seemed like the best way to do it at that point. But I don't think it went anything past that.

We were just kind of out there, you know, surviving on an island. And of course Jaclyn's great to look at, so it was kind of like a win, win. I don't know. Why not! I'm going to pull every trick out of the hat that I can, you know?

Reality TV World: Essentially, the case for voting you out came down to the fact they felt Keith was a lot stronger in Individual Immunity Challenges than you were and they wanted someone to counteract Jon. How does that make you feel given that Keith was one of the oldest guys out there and it's this weird situation where they deemed him the bigger physical threat?

Alec Christy: You know, I can't be upset about it. I mean, bouncing balls on a platform is not my strong suit. I'm going to be able to live with that. That's not where my athleticism and everything lies. Those challenges are really tough and anybody could be good at them. It just so happened that I wasn't.

So, you know, I'm not upset about that. Keith is a hell of a player. He won immunity, what, twice? I mean, he was very impressive with that. And so, I can only tip my hat to him. I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm better than him or upset that he's better than me, because he did well. I gave it my all and that's what it is!

Check back with Reality TV World soon for the concluding portion of Alec's exclusive interview.
