ABC has announced that the first of seven new one-hour specials of "Extreme Makeover" has been rescheduled to premiere on Thursday, April 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Each of the seven self-contained episodes will feature two people, first in their "before" phase, then as they undergo their various procedures, and finally, when the end results are revealed to their families. Following nationwide open casting calls and over 7000 applicants, the first two lucky individuals - Kine and Tammy - were chosen for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to participate in "Extreme Makeover."

Kine, a 29 year-old barber from Chicago, had an upper and lower lip reduction, breast lift, liposuction of the abdomen, teeth whitened and straightened, and Lasik eye surgery. Tammy, a 40-year-old stay at home mother from St. Petersburg, FL, had a face lift, an upper and lower eye lift, rhinoplasty, laser resurfacing of the perioral region, and teeth whitened and straightened.
Kine's "Extreme Team" included:
* Dr. Garth Fisher, a prominent board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills
* Dentist Dr. William Dorfman, one of the pioneers of tooth whitening
* Dr. Robert Maloney, considered one of the 10 best Lasik surgeons in the world, who has performed Lasik surgery on such celebrities as Cindy Crawford and Barry Manilow
* Wardrobe stylist Deda Coben, who has served as a celebrity fashion stylist for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair, and has styled such celebrities as Reese Witherspoon, RenČe Zellweger and Vin Diesel
* Personal trainer Michael George, fitness trainer to the stars, who has trained Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore, Sela Ward and Reese Witherspoon
* Hair stylist Tracci Johnson, owner of Eclipse Salon and celebrity hair stylist for Jada Pinkett Smith, EnVogue and Natalie Cole
* Celebrity makeup artist Merc Arceneaux, whose work has been found in magazines such as Allure, Essence and In Style, and who has worked with Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Snoop Dogg, John Travolta, Gloria Ruben and Eminem
* Nutri-Fit provided Kine's food and diet

The original one-hour special, "Extreme Makeover," which featured Stacey, Stephanie and Luke, attracted an average of 13.2 million viewers when it aired on the ABC Television Network on December 11, 2002. The show won its hour among Adults 18-49, beating NBC's "West Wing" by 14% (5.8/14 vs. 5.1/12). In addition the show led its hour among Aduls 18-34 (4.9/14) and in each of the key Women demos: Women 18-49 (7.4/18), Women 18-34 (6.4/18) and Women 25-54 (7.5/16).
