ABC reports that with it's solid retention of its "The Bachelor" young adult lead-in, the April 30th episode of "Extreme Makeover" beat NBC's "Law & Order" for the second week in a row in Adults 18-34 (4.9/15 vs. 4.5/13) to win its time period.

"Extreme Makeover" exhibited strong growth from start to finish, increasing by 1.5 million viewers (10.5 million to 12.0 million) and by 12% among Adults 18-49 (4.9/12 to 5.5/15) from its first 24 minutes to its final 30 minutes.
"Extreme Makeover" produced substantial time period improvement for ABC over the Net's delivery on the same night last year. Compared to ABC's delivery in the hour on the same Wednesday a year ago, "Extreme Makeover" was up by 4.6 million viewers (11.3 million vs. 6.7 million), by 100% among Adults 18-49 (5.2/14 vs. 2.6/7) and by 123% among Adults 18-34 (4.9/15 vs. 2.2/7).
For the week, ABC placed 3 programs among the Top 20 television shows during the week in Adults 18-34, including "The Bachelor" (No. 7), "Extreme Makeover" (No. 17) and "Alias" (No. 19). Wednesday night's telecasts of "The Bachelor" and "Extreme Makeover" each ranked among the Top 10 TV shows of the week for Women 18-34 (No. 7 & No. 9, respectively).
