First Dates, a new docu-reality series executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres, will premiere in less than two months.

Based on a hit format in the U.K., First Dates will feature an authentic, observational look into a variety of real first dates happening over one night in the same restaurant. The couples will all be looking for love as well as to feel an initial spark and hopefully secure a second date.
As previously revealed last year, actress Drew Barrymore -- who starred in the hit movie 50 First Dates with Adam Sandler -- will narrate the dating show, which began production in Chicago in July 2016.
The show will find daters of all ages from cities across the country who have different sexual preferences and dating experience. Using a fly-on-the-wall and hidden-camera approach, viewers will be along for the ride as the dates unfold and can determine for themselves whether these pairs have chemistry and potential to last.
"Some dates could be wildly successful, while others strike out in hilariously awkward fashion," according to the network.
At the end of each hour-long episode, the daters must reveal to one another whether they'd like to see each other again or go back to love's drawing board.
NBC announced two years ago it had ordered eight episodes of First Dates.
