Flip or Flop star Christina El Moussa has revealed a difficult moment when her six-year-old daughter asked about mom and dad's breakup.

At the time of the incident, Christina and their two kids, Taylor and son Brayden, 18 months, moved in with the family's nanny for six weeks while Tarek was packing up his things in their shared home. Christina remembers having to explain to her eldest child why they weren't living with Tarek anymore.
At first "we just tried to be really vague," Christina told People in an interview two months after publicly announcing her split from Tarek in December 2016.
"We're always remodeling our house or the yard, so when I moved out with the kids temporarily, we didn't really get into it, and she didn't ask."
But when Christina and Tarek determined reconciliation was not an option, Christina revealed, "Taylor asked if we could get back together. We had to explain that sometimes couples get divorced but that she and Brayden are our No. 1 priority. We'll always be a family."
Tarek officially filed for divorce on January 9 amid rumors of infidelity and drama on the set of Flip or Flop, but the couple has maintained a desire to continue working together and raise their children amicably in a healthy environment.
"Our kids are amazing -- our kids are transitioning well," Christina said on Good Morning America earlier this week. "Tarek and I are friends and we have a lot of support from our family. The kids are doing great."
In fact, the HGTV stars were photographed laughing and smiling on the set of Flip or Flop on Thursday, Us Weekly reported, when they were filming scenes in Orange County, CA, for the upcoming season.
"It's like anything," Tarek told Us of working with Christina despite their divorce, "you have good days and bad days."
"It was a stressful time," he added, "but we had to do our job. Our job is to film a show and flip houses. But our most important job is to co-parent."
The pair's amicable day on the job could have something to do with the fact Christina broke up with her new boyfriend Gary Anderson, a contractor who once worked for the family.
Christina's representative Cassandra Zebisch recently told the magazine in a statement, "Christina is single and being in a relationship is the last thing on her mind."
