Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa is doing the best he can to handle the fact his soon to be ex-wife, Christina El Moussa, has a serious new boyfriend.

As of recently, Tarek has been enjoying the single life, but Christina got romantically involved with Doug Spedding, a 55-year-old man whom she's allegedly known for 10 years but decided to reconnect with after she and Tarek parted ways.

Tarek admitted it's been difficult watching his ex date a new man, especially since Doug gets to spend time with their two children -- daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 18 months.

"I can't control it, and if I try, I'll literally drive myself crazy," Tarek told Us Weekly. "The best thing to do is let things go. When they're not with me, it's their other life with Christina. That's when she's in charge."

Tarek, 35, filed for divorce from Christina, 33, in January, which was one month after they publicly announced their split but about six months after they quietly separated in Spring 2016.

"I haven't been single in 10, 11 years, so it's a new experience," Tarek revealed to Us of dating. "I like to go out in groups, to be honest. I don't do too many one-on-ones. I have no idea what to look for in a girlfriend because I'm not ready."

The house flipper and HGTV star said he's looking for "someone that smiles, laughs and wants to have fun" in the dating pool.

Tarek insisted he's in a good place despite his ongoing divorce from Christina after seven years of marriage and the fact the couple must still work together on the set of Flip or Flop, which returns in December 2017 will 20 new episodes.

"It was tough at the beginning," Tarek confessed of the split, adding however, that the experience has taught him to communicate and also made him a "better person and better dad."

"[Co-parenting] been good. We don't let anything between us affect our kids. At the end of the day, you have to do the right thing for the kids, because the kids can tell if there's tension, and that's the last thing that we want."

Tarek said he continues to grow as a person and learn how to manage his new family dynamic with Christina.

Prior to her romance with Doug, Christina appeared to have a brief fling with one of the family's former contractors, Gary Anderson, as well as NHL player Nate Thompson. Meanwhile, Tarek has been linked to one of the couple's former nannies, Alyssa Logan, as well as several unidentified women.
