Oak Ridge, N.C., is reportedly prepared to offer its newest citizen, former "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry, the privacy his family has sought.

"They're very normal, and very nice, and a very sweet family; that's about all I'll say," said an anonymous neighbor of last season's fourth-place contestant. "I just want to honor their privacy."
The family recently moved from the less populated nearby township of McLeansville into a $690,000 home on more than an acre of land in Oak Ridge.
Many of the town's 4,000 residents -- including NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick -- praised the Daughtry family's decision to move to a larger Guilford County location.
"I think it speaks well for Oak Ridge," area resident Lynn Jacoby told the paper. "It's a good town with good schools, and a good area to be in."
